Great Gypsy Danger from NECA
Great figure, the sculpt and paint are definitely an improvement over the first wave of Gypsy Dangers. The articulation is improved in some places but left the same elsewhere, but the improvements are big ones. The ankles could use more to make standing easier. The accessories are nicely sculpted and painted and just make the figure more whole. For 20$, just like NECA always does, is make a figure worth having at that price.

Hong Kong-Brawl Gipsy Danger
LOL 😂! Great toy! The ship is very well designed and is very durable! I also have the Reactor blast Gipsy Danger which is also a great toy, for the record so far, NECA has not let me down. I hope this is how you would have been if you had this toy!

resulting in a Jaeger that looks like it has a major spinal disorder
Major quality control issue for this figure. The joint that links the upper torso to the waist is significantly off-center, resulting in a Jaeger that looks like it has a major spinal disorder. It's particularly awful from the back, where the columns are supposed to line up uniformly. Impossible to pose in a manner to cover this up. Awful, awful figure. If you're getting a toy for your kid to play with go for it, but looking for something to display? Stay away.

... the earlier releases by NECA but this one is better painted and articulated and has amazing accessories
My first Pacific Rim figure missed the earlier releases by NECA but this one is better painted and articulated and has amazing accessories , get it while its still cheap, more battle damaged versions will be released by Neca but this is the complete one to get.

Nice model, but keeps falling over
This is a great piece of the movie Pacific Rim. I like the articulation and poseability of the model. The plastic is a bit soft but this actually allows more yield and playability. When I removed the model out of the box the left shoulder joint popped off. I popped it back in with firm effort and it stayed. Maybe this is their way to say the shoulder joint also actually raises and lowers inside the "chest" cavity, which I think is a cool articulation point. I wish it didn't smell as bad upon initial package opening (blister pack), maybe over time the smell will go away. I also wish it had instructions telling you what is an articulation point and what isn't (to prevent one from accidentally breaking it if one tries to move what looks like a joint). Overall I'm very pleased with the model. Update 10-03-2015: After attempting several poses of primarily upright position, the model keeps falling down. The feet and leg joints do not have sufficient friction to hold their position, and the model eventually falls over. Then the left shoulder keeps popping out. If one was to create a model with 20 articulation points, they should have sufficient friction to hold their position. What happens is a joint slowly loses grip in its original intended position then gradually offsets the model's balance and center of gravity. If it goes beyond a certain point then gravity overcomes its base of support, which isn't strong to begin with. The model then falls over.

Two Stars
not really for playing with, the plastic is too hard for that and the parts don't stay put

toy for kids but also detailed enough to be put on display.
great care taken with the details and accessories. My son recreates the scenes with Gipsy Danger with the boat. great gift for an older child that knows enough not to break it.

Gipsy Danger Down!
I like the detail and accessories, but the flexible plastic makes it hard for it to keep from returning to original form. I've tried to have it just stand and it keeps tipping. I've tried different poses and even though I pose the legs out a little, the plastic wants to return to it's original form. Plus I had the hands holding the ship, but with it tipping over constantly they no longer grip the ship firmly. It now leans against a wall for support and has yet to fall over.

Love this line of toys, and love that NECA is finally making them available in Canada.

Fantastic attention to detail but quite fragile. I've meant to review this for a while but with the purchase of several more jaegers and have them all break in some way it should be said that they aren't really toys made for rough play, they're really made for adult fans of the film to be placed on the shelf in various poses, in that respect they're second to none.

Nice if you liked the original movie. Practically impossible to make it stay upright though. Ended up glue-gunning the damn figure to the display to make it stay. Details are pretty good though.

Exactly what I expected.

Poor quality plastic! The leg broke immediately after opening. I couldn't believe it.
