We have 2 toilets, both installed 7 years ago. One of which has this seat, the other had a less expensive polypropylene one. The former is sturdy showing no signs of wear. The polyprop one started falling apart a long time ago and eventually had to be replaced. Naturally, I bought this Duroplast because of 7 years trouble free experience. If I recommend it to myself, obviously I recommend it to everyone. Also it took about 10 minutes to fit.

Very sturdy, easy to fit, only slight downside is the measurements appear to be for the seat size when lid is up. When the lid is down, because it covers the sides of the seat, it is wider than anticipated. Very easy to remove for cleaning both the seat itself and around the fixings.

Fantastic toilet seat. We replaced ours in a rental which was really wobbly and unsafe. The quick release feature is great for cleaning the seat quickly, even just hosing it down in the shower! It feels really sturdy and comfortable.

No where near as easy to fit as was indicated. Had to use ‘bottom’ fixing for my toilet and it was very tricky. Have followed instructions and tightens as much as I can, but never the less the seat wobbles. A bit disappointed.

Very good RECOMMEND EASY TO USE

Easy to fit with wide adjustment range. I particularly liked the integrated rubber washer under the mounting plates that is non-slip so the mounting plates securely grip the porcelain once they are tightened down. Looks quality too!

The difficult bit for me was removing the old seat as the fixings had seized. Well it had been installed 30 years ago! This seat was fairly easy to fix. (78 year old woman) it says there are “two options”, top fixing or bottom fixing. Tried top first but could not force the “rubber plug” into the porcelain hole. I didn’t want to damage it, so I opted for bottom fixing, which was very straightforward but you have to screw it up pretty firmly but not too tightly, before locating the seat holes onto the hinge prongs or the hinges will move when you you use the quick release button to take the seat off again before the really tight screwing and placement of the hinge caps. A bit of trial and error did it. I have the seat positioned much better than it is in the product video! (Where it doesn’t cover the bowl at the front.) All in all satisfactory. Wish that the options were presented as choice, because I wasted some time and sanity thinking was I supposed to do top or bottom fixing? I didn’t really want soft close specially, but they mostly were, and this one was a moderate price and looked good. Hope I never have to do it again. I chose white, but it does make my 1990s champagne porcelain look a bit dingy.
