Desktop Power Grommet 3 inch, Desk Power Outlet Socket Recessed Power Strip with 2 AC Outlet & 2 USB Ports for Computer, Table, Kitchen, Office

I bought two of these USB/plug hubs for my new art desk. They don't fit the standard size hole cutter opening, so I had to sand down the edges more before it would slip in. Great for quick plug ins like glue guns and hair dryers. Use the USB for charging phone or blue tooth speaker. I installed each of them facing a different direction due to the location of my wall outlets. High quality product, must have.

Product work well. I noticed complaints about the network plug not working but mine worked fine. However, my network cable is only being used for a Polycom conference phone so no big data transfer is occurring with my setup. The install would be easier if the product was made to fit a standard 3” diameter hole since I don’t have this oddball 3 1/8 inch hole saw. I used my 3” and then a file to get it to fit. All in all, a good product and love not having the conference line wires and cords draped over the edge of our conference table now and provides easy access for laptop charging during long meetings.

I like the product. But I installed them on the face of a workbench and found that the lid conflicted with any somewhat bulky plugs not allowing them to be fully plugged in. I ended up removing all of the covers (they pull right off) and discarding them as they are less needed in a vertical install.

Terrific overall product. Nice thick, sturdy, long cord. The only ISSUE is you do need a 3 and 1/8th hole saw. This is not a super common size, but I found one on Amazon for about $12 which was a great price and it was a very good saw attachment. Still a tight fit but be patient and gently work the threads down the hole. If you are putting this in a counter top, but sure you clear the underneath perimeter composite trim or your grommet won't fit all the way up.

These are fantastic. I ordered a few different types for my counter countertops. They are working great and they look amazing.

The desktop power grommet is super easy to install. After drilling a 2 inch hole assembly is just a minute or so and it's ready for use! The material it's constructed from is thick and sturdy and should last for many many years to come. Once installed, it has a sleek appearance on the countertop space. It is fuctional for a phone recharging station, but is a regular outlet as well.

All you need is a 3" hole saw, drill a hole in your desk and you have an top desk mounted outlet ready to go. This product is perfect and allows me to charge my laptop and plug other devices in without reaching under the desk to the main surge protector.
