It's a "General" for the household.
Ammonia has a multitude of household uses and in the battle for cleanliness it is peerless. However, it is also touted as a panacea for other ills, such as deer and cat deterrent. As far as deer goes it works, a cotton ball soaked in ammonia and placed on a stick will deter deer. Not so for cats. So, if you're considering buying for this purpose.... DON'T. Unless you like cats !!

Dilute with 8 parts water and spray your snails!

Stick your oven shelves and metal tray that come with the oven, in a black sack, add the amonia, leave overnight, and hey presto, sparkling oven shelves once more! Absolutely no scrubbing needed.(Just don't inhale when using, and if you can, wear goggles too!)
