Medical-Surgical Nursing - E-Book: Assessment and Management of Clinical Problems, Single Volume 10th Edition, Kindle Edition

The book itself is great. Has lots of good information about conditions and the nursing management of those conditions. However, the physical book is gigantic. Much bigger than even your average textbook. So when my rental time was up I returned it and bought the kindle version. The kindle version sucks. I wasn't even going to take the time to write a review but today I'm studying for a test and I've just had enough! There are no page numbers and the pictures, many of them showing important structures or concept maps, are so small you can barely read the font and there is no way to make them bigger. You can't click the photo to enlarge it nor can you zoom in or make them bigger by increasing the font size. It really sucks because it's not like the kindle version is a ton cheaper. We should be able to view the book just like anyone else who bought the physical copy! Very annoying. I kind of want my money back. Professors, I would suggest you use a different book until this is fixed because most students are using kindle versions now.

This textbook is very HEAVY and it doesn't come with the option of online access. The online access costs the exact same price without being able to reference the physical text once your yearly access subscription expires. Clearly the publishers of this text are greedy and trying to get money from students any way they can. Most other publishers offer FREE online access to the e-book along with the purchase of the textbook. Quite a few of my classmates have the free, pirated version of this product and I truly don't blame them.

This book does not allow you to view pages like the 9th edition does. Nor does it have page numbers. This makes studying near to impossible if you are given instructions from a Professor to study certain page numbers.

I cannot express how angry I am the e-book version of this text book does not have PAGE NUMBERS!!! This is a text book, and I am furious there are no page numbers for the kindle version. This is horrible. Doesn't amazon understand reading assignments are given by page numbers? I want my money back as I had to purchase the "ibooks" version and use my apple devices to be successful in class. Do not, I repeat do not get the ebook, it is a complete waste of time without page numbers an I will continue fighting to get a refund as this product is misrepresented. In the description the page numbers are listed, and you will not see even one of those page numbers in the book. I am beyond livid and very upset!

LOVE the book but I ordered a like new/ very good copy. Received a book with 3 labels stating acceptable condition only. Back cover had 2 inch tears top and bottom where it attaches to the spine. Brown stains on a couple pages. Side edges worn. Needed significant repair and cleaning. Not satisfied at all, esp. for the price I paid !!!

I have rented every book from Amazon and not once have I ever received one in this condition. I should have taken a picture but I didn't I opened the box and threw it right back in. This book was in horrible condition. The book's spine was held together by scotch tape and just barely at that!!! The outside of the book was so ragged I could hardly see my self hauling this 11lb book around without fear of it falling apart!! I would not be held responsible for a book I paid over $50 to just to rent if this was to happen. The seller provided a book that I highly doubt even had all the pages included. This is a spit in the face of a struggling college student trying to get by with cheaper options than that of the college book store. I expected better quality from Amazon sellers. I sent it back and got a refund. I wrote a nasty review. So I hope they toss/burn/recycle/use as a booster seat/or use as a door stopper before they ever release this book to another poor student like myself.

Got the E-book... no page numbers. Sucks. And pricey... so angry and disappointed.

This book is not too wordy. It's an easy read and I definitely used it for my Med surg classes. The way the waters wrote the material is very streamlined, organized and well-written. basically the text goes straight to the point. I would not recommend getting older versions, as a lot of information changes and the textbook does get updated and guidelines change. It does utilize evidence based practice on what's best to treat. It's a textbook that is worth keeping as well, as most of my friends kept it as a new nurse.
