This works well and achieves its purpose of protecting the charging connector when not in use.

Works very well, heavy duty, easy to use, stays attached to the charger cord reliably, appears durable and well made. To bad the open charge port symbol is just for show, but whose complaining!

I bought it because after the move there was no charging station nearby, and I had to install a charging station in my garage, however the station is far from my parking spot. This extension cord served the purpose, so far no big issues. But I really think the company can also send some containers so easy to storage the long wires.

I purchased and installed at our home a Tesla home charger with a 15’ charging cable. Hindsight is 20/15 and I should have purchased the longer option as my cord was stretched to the max to charge my Y. I purchased this and now it is so easy to plug in, no stress on the cable or charging connector.Yes, I now must open the door with the app, but happy to do so to relieve the stress.

This cord is a behemoth. It resembles the quality and thickness of the supercharger cords. No issues whatsoever and I feel very comfortable leaving it outside in any type of weather thus far. The only note is that the end charger plug does not have a dustcap on it, so I would recommend picking one up as well (other sellers have them for like $10)Yes, the detach button doesn't work, but that is true for any third party extension cables, and probably will be the way for the indefinite future. Not a huge issue to just disconnect from your phone.Lastly, the customer service for Lectron is excellent. They stand behind their products and helped me after reaching out to them with some questions on the cable.

I've had this for a while. It still works great. If you don't park in the garage this is a good option.

This product, while simple and well designed, is so cheaply made as to almost guarantee to break. The little plastic tab inside the socket that holds the handle in place when not in use broke the first time I inserted the handle. Upon inspection it was clearly super thin, cheap plastic that simply won't hold up over time.

I do a lot of traveling and dog sitting for clients. I like to be able to use my mobile connector and plug into 30 and 50 amp outlets (washer and dryer outlets) when the opportunity arises. The product was extremely easy to set up and works great for the intended purpose, allowing me up to 40 feet for charging. However, as the photos showed, the cable got destroyed from repeated use, leading to the pictures above. Tesla was able to expedite service for me and remove this for free. The build quality is very concerning. This happened because I thought I had unplugged this from my Model 3 all the way but didn’t; this cable doesn’t register with Tesla’s system. It was obvious when pressing the top button doesn’t open the charge port. While I am happy to admit my mistake and laugh about it, I would love to see Lectron improve this product so that it does integrate with Tesla’s system (and others), namely being able to unlock the port with the extension and also have it detected in the charge port.
