I noticed this USA made hose has an upper temperature limit of 195 deg F. All the other ones (Chinese?) and those at Lowes has an upper limit of 140 deg F. Normal hot water at your tap is typically 140 deg F. That may be the normal at the tap temperature but if you have a hose with a higher temperature rating it has do last longer than one that has a 55 deg F lower temperature rating. Heat will make thing brittle. The higher the temperature specification the longer it will hold up at the usual tap temperature. Time will tell but I think this one is a much better choice that the other lower temperature units.
