Well made
Looked to be a well made tool. I returned the item without use as I had my rifle at a gunsmith to evaluate the barrel. As I needed a new barrel the tool was of no use to me.

Xlnt tool
Not complicated to use, just stick it in thru the chamber and read the number. I used a white crayon to fill in the numbers for easier reading. Good news for me, my Garands are well w/in spec, even my beat up one. WooHoo!

Good investment for safety. Does the job accurately. Good for the price.

Decent gauge but not perfect
At first glance this seems to be cut well and have a nice finish. Mine developed a very light layer of surface rust in a few spots after a couple months. I was able to clean it of with a bit of oil and a brush. The gauge seems very accurate when I compared the readings against another, known gauge.
