Review: Great Fix - These swivels worked great to fix the swivels on our bar stools that had become wobbly. We searched for new bar stools because the swivels on ours were so wobbly that the stools were becoming unsafe. Since we couldn't find any bar stools that we liked as much as the ones we had, we decided to fix them. We ordered 4 of these swivels and purchased upholstery fabric from a local fabric store to update the seats. For about $125 (swivels and fabric), we have four 20-year old barstools that look and work like new. The swivels are solid and work well. We are happy with them.

**Q: Can I set the swivel so that the return home position leaves the bottom plate offset vs the top plate by 90 degrees? Or do you have a swivel like this**
A: If you want the seat to return to 90 degrees mount it that way as home. The plates are square so a 90 degree turn is a mounting issue not a plate issue. Otherwise the question doesn’t make sense so feel free to clarify and I’ll send you a video

**Q: The fixed mounting plate is 3x3 in. Is there an adaptation  I could use to make it fit?**
A: Could you be more clear with your question Stuart? What dimension are you trying to make the 3 x 3 mounting plate fit to? The mounting plate on this ad actually measures 7" x 7". There are slots in the place where the mounting screws go that allow you to move the screws in or out a bit if the holes on your furniture don't quite fit.

**Q: I see in one of the questions you have a 7-1/2 x 7-1/2 auto return swivel; can you send me to the page or tell me the hole spacing dimensions?**
A: Don't know - but ours never really sat level -

**Q: Is it 90 degree rotation from center (180 degrees total) or is it 90 degrees total (45 degrees in each direction)?**
A: 90 degrees in each direction for a total of 180. It was an exact replacement for my 20 year old bar stools.

These swivels worked great to fix the swivels on our bar stools that had become wobbly. We searched for new bar stools because the swivels on ours were so wobbly that the stools were becoming unsafe.
