Best taste and nutrition for the price!
I'm self admittedly a protein powder snob. As a runner who usually runs in the morning, I pack in a lot of carbs in during my morning but only moderate protein, and I like my afternoon snack to offer a little more protein. The easiest and most filling way to do that is a protein shake. I had a love affair with the Quest powders for about 6 months, but I started to get burnt out on them. The longer I drank shakes, the more I could taste the weird aftertaste that basically all protein powders have. I tried some other brands, but I couldn't shake it, and thus I have bounced around trying to find something I can live with. I got to a point where I was not willing to buy any more expensive powders, because I was not seeing any difference in taste/quality for the price. Decided to give this one a go, since I had had their bars before and liked them. To get a feel for the sweetness level/flavor on it's own, I tried it plain, just blended with almond milk. Not horrible, but I was over it by half the bottle and just chugged it. If you use a shake blender, it's very smooth in consistency. I also tried it with a cup of strawberries and almond milk, and that was pretty tasty, but there was a bit of a funny aftertaste. Not nearly as bad as I have had. My *favorite* experiment was this recipe: 1/2 a scoop of the powder, 1 bottle of light Starbucks mocha frappuccino (if you love your carbs like I do), 1 tsp of chocolate pudding mix, and a few ice cubes. With the protein in the Starbucks drink, you wind up with around 20g protein and around 200 cals. It has a very similar taste and consistency to Starbucks frappuccinos (reminds me of the S'mores one). The scoop is pretty big in comparison to most other brands I've tried, and while I didn't have a problem with chalkiness due to that, it could be a little strong when mixed by the directions, so I diluted it a little more. Overall, its a pretty good protein powder as it is. If you're weird about your protein like me, it's a good base to blend in with other shake ingredients. You definitely can't beat the price, and the quality greatly exceeds it!

Really good taste, mixes easily
I have tried several brands of protein powders. So far, I like this one the best. I had problems with some of the others being difficult to thoroughly mix with my almond milk unless I used a blender, which I prefer not to do because of the clean-up time. Another one that I bought in a vanilla flavor had so much cinnamon flavor in it, I did not like the taste. This one mixes so easily, all you have to do is put it in a shake bottle to which you have added your liquid of choice; take a fork and stir it well, then shake it with the cap on for a minute or two and it's ready to drink. It tastes really good. I took off a star because it is expensive.

Tastes Great for Weight loss and/or Control!!!
I have a hard time understanding the reviews that state that this product tastes bad. To me this has a delicious vanilla taste with no unpleasant after tastes. Maybe the other reviewers have different taste buds. Who knows? I love this product for weight loss and weight control. Many of the reviewers also complained that the product would not mix with water well. That is something that I have not tried as instead I use this product in a vegetable smoothie for weight loss and a fruit/yogurt smoothie with vegetables for weight control. The reason there are never any lumps or goo in my smoothies is they are made in a Ninja Professional 900 watt blender. When broccoli is mixed with low fat almond milk, spinach leaves, celery, 1/2 cup no fat yogurt, 4 large ice cubes or 10 small cubes and one large serving of the vanilla creme whey powder you have a nutricious and palatable diet drink smoothie that can carry you for 3 to 4 hours. You can substitute any veggies you wish.....dark greens, carrots, peas, green beans, raw asparagus, even red beets. Add a teaspoon of honey or sugar to slightly change the sweetness level. Maybe use low fat vanilla flavored yogurt and drop the almond milk. The combinations are really as limitless as your imagination. To use the protein powder to maintain weight try a fruit smoothie with frozen blue berries, a banana, frozen cherries, red or green grapes, or blackberries. Add low fat almond milk, low fat vanilla or no fat yogurt. Here I add 8 almonds or peanuts. The banana and blueberries add more than enough sweetness. I top everything off with the ice again as smoothies of any kind taste best when chilled. Of course you can add such ingredients as apples, oranges (leaving the rinds on), pears peaches (without rind) and just about any other kind of fruit. I also always toss in a couple small heads of broccoli which you can NEVER taste. Borccoli is my least favorite vegetable so I try and hide the flavor at all costs even though I know it is one of the best veggies you can eat. You may be thinking that this is all well and good, but there are those out there that do no want to use synthetic sugars. If that is the case try the Pure Protein 100% NATURAL Whey Powder Vanilla Creme as it contains Stevia which is claimed by some to be less harmful that other sugar substitutes. The use of the Ninja blender is also the key to using this powder. The blender can be purchased for around $75.00 on Amazon. This blender REALLY blends and is well worth the price. There are no bits and pieces of things. Everything is blended to perfection. Even the rinds of fruits and all vegetables. You can use a regular blender but your still going to get bit and pieces of your fruits and veggies. I sincerely hope this review can be helpful to those who want to use protein powder and enjoying it without the gummy, unmixed experiences that others have had.

Huge price increase?
One of my biggest complaints about protein powder is you have no way of knowing if you like it without buying a literal bucket of it. I thought Pure was really onto something by offering this smaller more affordable "trial" size. But now I see the price has nearly doubled since my order. Same price as others that have more servings in the package? Naw. Won't be reordering. I really like Premier powder but always wonder if there are others that are just as good. The Pure tastes okay. Not nearly as sweet as Premier. Also doesn't blend as well. Shaking both in my Helimix, the Premier dissolves completely. Pure needs the helping hand of a shaker ball. (I don't understand why Premier seems to be the only company with the secret weapon of complete dissolvability.) So all in all, really nothing special about this one and now costs more for no good reason. I'll stick with my Premier.
