Cerwin-Vega Vega Series Subwoofers – High-Performance Subwoofers for Deep Bass (V82DV2)

I was looking for a relatively inexpensive sub. I didn't know CV was still making speakers, but I've been out of the stereo scene for a while. I really liked the red surrounds as they matched the accents in my car. The fastener covers are also a nice touch. I needed to go smaller because these we're going into a little Fiat 500. I mounted two 8's in a box and am feeding them 140W. You won't hear me coming from the next block but they are plenty loud enough for me and sound clean. Very happy with them! The box is from SKAR Audio.

Great for what I needed it for, I replaced my factory Harmon Kardon sub in my back deck of a 2021 Dodge Charger, perfect fit without any cutting or drilling new holes. Can’t wait to upgrade the amp….

This product has great sound quality solid product

I bought this as a replacement for the Sub in one of my old AT-8 speakers. It's not even close to sounding as good as the AT-8. I'll keep this one as a back up until I get a chance to replace the voice coil in the old one, a project I was hoping to avoid. I gave it 4 stars, because I'm sure its a good speaker in today's standards. People these days don't know what good speakers sound like. LOL

Great sub! Even when hooked up to a very low wattage amp, im able to get some real bass from it. The only issue is that the dual coil, one connector is very kinda hard to work arpund with an amp made for dual coil subs with two connectors.

Overall it was a good deal at around $60. Pay attention to the 1 to 4 ohm switching attachment. 2 issues... 1. The instructions are confusing as to which way the switching attachment goes. 2. Switching attachment was loose when installed. I used electrical tape to make sure it wouldn't pop out during loud play, but ultimately I soldered up a jumper that fit much tighter. Running it with a fosgate bridged punch 250.

Fits perfectly in a custom box bass is thumping

This 8” sub is incredible. I installed this as a replacement for the Harmon-Kardon factory subwoofer in my Kia Optima, even though it officially “doesn’t fit” and I’m so pleased with the results that the only reason I’m giving it 5 stars is that six stars aren’t available.

Junk. Stay away from Cerwin - Vega products. They have gone down hill with quality while jacking prices. Unless you know what your purchasing in electronics, stay away from this company, they are not a quality product anymore, same as Chinese junk. And this company charged me $300 plus dollars and never delivered my product and Amazon did not back me up so stay away from this company unless you don’t like your money in your pocket.

Rim is too thick. It won't fit in my speaker box. I had to cut my box so it can fit in.
