I’m not one of those people that loves spicy spicy food but I have family members that do so I ordered this for them. One taste and I have been converted. Melinda’s is spicy but more than just fiery heat. The flavor is robust with the heat from the chilis, salty, tangy and fruity notes, with a hint of garlic. Try some. Your taste buds will thank you.

Excellent heat and savory flavor. It’s not just spicy hot sauce. It has a really wonderful flavor. Most hot sauces are just spicy without any dimension. This has a robust flavor profile that compliments meats and poultry really well. This one is my favorite.

It has the distinctive scotch bonnet pepper flavor, which is a real plus, if you like that flavor and judge a sauce on its pepper flavor and not just on the level of spiciness. That said, this sauce is not spicy enough for my taste, and I'm not keen on scotch bonnet flavor. So I give it four stars. This rating is obviously relative to my personal taste.

The heat is good, but I can get that anywhere. The flavor wins hands down.

Extrem leckere Scotch Bonnet Sauce mit Biss die auf alles passt. Pizza, Reis, Nudeln, Tortillas, einfach alles. Geschmack : Fruchtig frischer Scotch Bonnet Geschmack gepaart mit Karotten, Papaya und Knoblauch. Komplett natürlich ! Absolute Gourmet Sauce! Konsistenz : Dünnflüssig und könnte etwas dicker sein, aber dennoch gut. Ich empfehle den Plastikstopper zu entfernen damit auch die Samen und Fruchtfleischstücke mit herauskommen können. Schärfe : 4 von 10 (Angabe 7 von 10 kann ich nicht nachvollziehen) wobei "1" Tabasco entspricht und "10" einer Carolina Reaper. Sicherlich wird diese Sauce mit ihrem Lippenbrand/Zungenbrand nichts für Leute sein die Tabasco als scharf empfinden (Tabasco hat 2.500 Scoville und diese Sauce ist mit 10.000 Scoville 4 mal so scharf). Aber für Chiliheads die eine mild brennende Alltagssauce mit überragenden Geschmack suchen, perfekt. Auch bestens für Schärfeanfänger die in die Welt von Hot Sauces vordringen wollen und mehr Schärfe als Tabasco suchen ohne sich zu überfordern, perfekt. Ich kann auch alle andere Saucen von Melinda nur wärmstens empfehlen da sich für jeden etwas findet und alle Saucen höchster Qualität entsprechen.

Mich hatten die Scotch Bonnets Chilis in der Sauce gereizt. Leider kommen die nicht so stark durch. Die Sauce schmeckt trotzdem gut. Am Anfang hat mich der säuerliche Geschmack etwas irritiert. Viele Chilisaucen Kenner mögen nicht den Geschmack von Essig doch hier handelt es sich um Zitrone. Die Sauce würde ich mir jederzeit wieder kaufen. Da ich weiß, dass andere Saucen mich noch mehr begeistern, habe ich nur vier Sterne gegeben. Reine Geschmacksache.
