Try to pick them up with a magnet. If you can, they are not stainless. All of my tool stash (including multiple pairs of scissors?) is currently packed up in storage and I wanted some affordable backups. I prefer curved blades for those times when I need to snip threads close to the fabric. My assessment is that these aren't top quality by any stretch, but they're good enough for the purpose. The tips aren't pointed enough, the blades not sharp enough, and threads aren't cut cleanly enough. That said, they get the job done, the price is a bargain, they're perfectly acceptable, and I'll use them. You can pay a lot for truly exceptional scissors, but you can also get some very good ones without breaking the bank. For just a little more than I paid for this pack of three, you can get one pair of nice Ginghers, which is what I ended up doing.
