Q: Does any one know if a CR 123 and a CR 123 A has the same Specs ?

There is no difference between CR123 and CR123A. CR123 is a Maxell designation and CR123A is a Panasonic, Sony, and Varta designation for the same battery. As a matter of fact, Energizer calls the battery an EL123AP and Duracell calls it an DL123A. Go to http://data.energizer.com for more info.

Yes I received 8 batteries with the order and it was about the best price I could find and they were shipped much earlier than I had expected. if you need 8 batteries then go ahead and order these. you wont be sorry. Larry Durbin.

Q: whats the exact voltage. did anyone test it with a voltage meter?

A new, fresh CR123 or 123A should test 3.25 or MORE. Anything less than 3.17 will show as low battery on burglar alarm transmitters, cameras and other self testing devices. If using for flashlight or other high current use, older batteries are fine. Dishonest sellers will insist that they are 3.0 vdc batteries, as advertised. ALWAYS look at expiration date.
