Works well and battery powered.
This flosser works well. The water tank isn't huge but it's large enough to make one lap around the mouth. I mix a bit of mouthwash in the water and the pump hasn't objected to the mixture. Battery powered so you can travel with it and it doesn't require 110 volt power. I'd buy it again if it went bad.

Waterpil has THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
I love the product. It works so well to get food particles that flossing can miss and I love the portability to take traveling and keep my counter less cluttered. I use it a couple times a day. I have a couple of root canals and “pockets” where food gets stuck and it’s so frustrating. Trying to floss it’s out sometimes leads to injury but the waterpik works instantly every time. They have a 1 year warranty. My waterpik wouldn’t turn on for some reason after 4 months. I got on their website via a link through my Amazon order info and chose the live chat option. Immediately, a rep responded and walked me through some trouble shooting steps. When those didn’t work, she filed a warranty claim and they’re sending me a new one! Took only a few minutes and minimal effort. They just asked a few questions on the product, did the trouble shooting and requested either a pdf of the order details or a screenshot. I sent it through the chat. Seriously, best customer service and it was so easy.

Edited review 3 years later ----
New 4-star review on 1/15/24 They finally both died after 3 years of initial use, careful cleaning and frequent battery changes. I still think it's a good product that does a great job at helping keep build-up at bay, together with brushing and flossing. I will buy a new one because of the travel convenience and the strong water pressure. Moral of the story: it will crap out and is not meant to last a lifetime, but it did what it was meant for and helped me restore healthier oral hygiene. ---------------------------------------- 5-start review I own two, one used twice/day at home and the other one once at work. The first one bought on Amazon, the other at a Walmart a few months later while on a trip when I realized I had forgotten my first one. This waterpik works great and is easy to use and travel with. The seal on one once no longer held the tank in place so buy a pack of the below and use the 7/8*3/32" o-ring (2nd from the right, bottom row on the photo of the box) and you'll be good to go again. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098B1P1P5?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I've had no problems with the battery case corroding but I also don't let it sit in water which is the only thing I can think could lead to the damage some have mentioned. I also gently and carefully clean my piks with q-tips and a little white vinegar to remove scale and build-up maybe twice a year. It opens up easily and closes just fine on both units I own. The strong pressure is great if your gums are healthy which means you really should floss too. The pik isn't an alternative to flossing but a complement. Ditto re brushing, Folks! I've dropped both of my units by accident and they still work so I think they're pretty sturdy. It does drain batteries but not as fast as I had anticipated. The tank isn't big but I just refill as needed. Not the end of the world to me.

Gets Food Particles that Brushing Doesn't Get!
I purchased this battery operated WaterPik 5 months ago and it works great! The pulsating water gets food particles out of those hidden areas that brushing cannot possibly get out. It has 2 speeds of which I always use on high because there's more force behind the water pulse action which will help to remove any stubbornly stuck particles. I always brush my teeth first using an electric tooth brush, then I use the WaterPik. And every time I use it I always see more food particles fall into the sink, which means the WaterPik is cleaning where the tooth brush can't. This alone makes me very glad I purchased the WaterPik. The water container holds enough water for about 30 seconds of use, but it's very easy to quickly refill it. The unit came with 2 identical flosser tips which are easily exchanged when needed. Also there are a multitude of other tips available, I purchased a separate variety pack of 8 tip styles on Amazon. Battery life is not the greatest but that's easily overcome by using rechargeable batteries (I use Eneloop rechargeable batteries). The battery drainage is not really noticeable, i.e., the water pulses gradually become less powerful over time but you don't notice the gradual decrease. After about 2 weeks you can finally notice a decrease in power. It's really noticeable when you change the batteries after 2 weeks, after which you feel more powerful water pulses once again. Therefore because of this, I simply recharge the batteries every week to maintain powerful water pulses. The battery compartment is very tight (with rubber gasket) and not easily opened or closed. The tightness is expected in order to maintain a water free compartment to prevent short circuit damage. Nevertheless since I change the batteries often it has gotten easier over time. Additionally the clear plastic water container can be removed for cleaning. This is how it worked for me. Push it downward towards the bottom of the unit and it will slide off. When re-installing it push hard to get the rubber gasket at the top to seal properly. There is a plastic clip on the back of the water container and a mating clip on the WaterPik body and they need to mate with each other when installing, therefore push hard when re-installing. Lastly the cordless battery operation makes this unit very portable and easy to use, and to take with you on travel. I'm very happy with this purchase and I do recommend it to others.

Decent flossing performance but limited lifespan
Performs well flossing, and it’s convenient and compact for travel given it’s battery powered - no need to recharge, just the need to have extra batteries available. However, it failed after 2.5 years of relatively infrequent use (travel only), and despite periodic rinsing it with vinegar solution.

Been using it for almost a year, it does it job well and have not broken down on me.

Water squirted everywhere on first use! But now I know to keep my mouth only very slightly open it works very well, and very easy to refill, so I would recommend this product.
