That is irritating. Tech support is frustrating to reach. Great to work with but it is like trying to reach a member of congress. In summary, I love this thing and hope to solve my one small buffering issue soon. Its now with developers to create a custom firmware. Im beyond frustrated at this point. All my data is in jeopardy , this 1200$ brick is sitting here with no silver lining yet. Drobo refuses to pay for data recovery. Drobo are great when they work. Connected to my Mac Mini via Thunderbolt 3. I have dual drive failure protection turned on and an old samsung 850 SSD stuck in the back. I can report no issues so far after about three weeks. Feels stable, professional, dependable. the Dashboard is so easy to use. all hard drives immediately provisioned and recognized. hot swapping works having tried it twice. all data remained accessible while the array rebuild. sharing screenshot of speed test. Plenty fast for my needs even with dual-drive failure protection turned on. If this proves dependable over time this will be a fantastic device.
