Vegetarian Mushroom Oyster Sauce, 35fl oz

This stuff is fantastic. Much thicker than regular fish sauce, and much less salty. Huge umami flavor, and rocks it on burgers and chicken too. Will be my go to sauce from here on. Also very complimentary with basalmic. update: 3rd bottle now, and all have leaked at base of cap where it attaches to bottle. Still better than any other out there, has replaced salt on eggs for me, and great for adding flavor to pork too. May try using it for velveting next with cornstarch blended in, would prob b fantastic, update: almost thru my 4th bottle, and out of stock! gonna try and wait this out.

It's packed with flavor, but also very salty, as the standard version is. It is a truly authentic product that is what it claims to be. I suppose I should have searched for a lower sodium version, but then it would not have been what the recipe called for. Lucky it's so flavorful that less is more, so be careful to use a small amount then taste to see if you need to add a little more. This bottle is going to last a long time.

I'm a retired professional cook with 43 years experience. I can usually make anything I can think of. I wanted to make a vegetarian pad see ew from scratch that would taste as good as my local Thai restaurant. I saw this product on Amazon and took a chance. Home run! It will become a staple in my fridge. It's a versatile sauce that's not too salty or artificial tasting. Goodbye forever to regular oyster sauce.

After going vegetarian I gave up on a lot of the staple Thai dishes that used to grace our table. After getting an insatiable itch to start cooking Thai again, I went on the hunt for some options for the traditional sauces and this one is simply outstanding. I can not tell the difference between it and the real thing except no animals died to give me and the family that savory, sweet kiss that a good Oyster Sauce brings to the dish. A great substitute and wonderful flavor.

I bought this to replace oyster sauce in one of my favorite Asian recipes. I was afraid it would change the flavor and my recipe would not be as tasty. It changed the flavor a bit but made it much better! Not being a fan of seafood, I did not notice the subtle fishy taste oyster sauce leaves. I will use this in all my recipes that call for oyster sauce. Great replacement!

I mixed in some Chinese cooking wine, a heavy helping of minced garlic, soy sauce and some corn starch to make a yummy garlic stir fry sauce!

This is my second time ordering this product and I really enjoy it. I add it to soups, stews, gravies, etc. Great value.
