Q: How many ounces can this bowl hold?

16 ounces of liquid! (I just measured!). These bowls are heavy and substantial and neither of my 10-year-old twins can knock them over while eating! We use them every day! Love them!

Q: Item listed as unsafe for microwave and dishwasher but listed as safe for both somewhere else. Can someone confirm which is correct?

It's stoneware and dishwasher safe according to the manufacturer. Nothing is mentioned about microwave. I wouldn't suggest using in a microwave.

Q: Has anyone tried this in the microwave?

According to the manufacturer's description: Hand wash only. Not dishwasher safe. Do not microwave. I believe it is for the greater durability of the product.
