Colonel Ichabod Conk Standard Pure Badger Shave Brush with Cream Handle

Conk has changed hands since I first bought and sold their products in my store. I bought my first brushes from the Czech that owned the company. This one is my standby when my second Conk shaving brush wears out. I have used these brushes for over 30 years and they last a long long time.

This is the fourth Col Conk brush I have used. First three were excellent! This most recent is a substantial downgrade. The bristle bundle is substantially smaller AND shorter. This results in a very stiff small brush that carry’s very little shave soap to the face. Side by side comparison of the new brush and my old one shows the old bristles are still longer than the new. Only plus is it does no shed.

Purchased this model 14 yr. ago, still going strong. Had received a set with a boar brush as my introduction to wet shaving. Used the boar for 3 yr. when I learned of badger brushes. Purchased this Col. Conk and gave the boar brush away. This is a Pure Badger brush, the lowest grade of badger, but this brush still does it's job every shave.
