Very different, very useful
This is absolutely worth having. It gives you some hands free options no other product I have tried can match. I would not plan on hooking it over a leg unless yours is wooden or you really like a civil war amputation surgeon is on the way tourniquet feeling. It too large to store in a pocket unless you are a kangaroo and visually it falls slightly short of wearing a propeller beanie with a matching flashing LED pocket protector, but it is still useful and worth having. Much more effective than the goofy goose neck phone and tablet holders that droop from their own weight let alone being able to hold anything else up at a useful angle. If you try one give yourself a few minutes to figure out adjustments, you will go through a Rubik’s Cube moment or two before adjusting it becomes second nature. Keep in mind the item it is holding is held in position by pressure, so it needs to be seated in the grooves before you adjust angles. Or adjust your angles first, just don’t do both at once unless you want to see your device fly across the room like a Frisbee.

It’s good, but could be great
When I saw this I was super excited because I always just sit my iPad on the armrest of my recliner and it sits up in the cover I have. But when it’s in portrait/vertical position sometimes it would fall. So I thought this stand/holder would be perfect; and it almost is. Only one flaw I see is that the part that goes on the armrest needs to be able to be extended. My recliner armrests are big and fluffy and this barely fits. When I put my recliner down and got up out of the chair this fell off the armrest because I have it stretched as far as it can go and it doesn’t grip too well to my huge armrest. I have a feeling that overtime it is going to get too stretched out and eventually give out. For now, it will work for me. But I just ordered something else to try. I will tell you that, as you can see, I did NOT have to take my iPad Air 4 cover off to use this holder. So that is another plus. If you have regular size armrests this will fit perfectly. But if you have big fluffy ones like I do, it might be too small. I do like this product though, and would recommend it to family and friends. Just wanted you to be aware of one flaw it has. If they could make that part adjustable, it would be perfect. I won’t say make it bigger, because if it was bigger it wouldn’t work for everyone. Just make it so that we can make it bigger or smaller as needed. Or make it so that we can add an extender to it. Either option would make it perfect.

Very helpful
My mother had some mobility issues and had trouble holding her iPad Mini so we set this up on the arm of her recliner. It worked very well until she recovered. Since it was holding to a recliner's arm which has plush cushions the hold can't be completely immobile, but it was very secure and never fell, but if there is a lot of cushion I could imagine the stand moving a bit more than desired, but that is based on the item the stand holds onto, not the stand itself. So if you want a stand to hold a device on a cushioned arm, this is probably going to work very well, it did for me.

Love this thing.
I use this everyday. I have it on the arm of my couch. The size of the arm on your couch will make a difference. Too skinny or too thick this won’t work. Mine is 6 inches. Up to 9 inches it would be fine. Less than 5 it would fall off.

Wanted to Love...
Really needed this for my 88 y/o Mother; she broke her arm on New Year's Day. She cannot hold her phone, let alone her tablet. I found this and I was elated!!! What a fantastic IDEA!!! Well...it is just that, a great idea. It barely holds her phone, a Motorola Moto G. I could barely fit the tablet into the clamps. Needless to say, it popped of WHILE she was using it! Thank goodness it didn't hit her broken arm! That isn't the only issue, it also leans to one side is the other. IF you only use a phone, it may be ok, but her phone is big, and kinda heavy, but if they claim it holds a tablet, even a heavy large phone shouldn't be a problem. I sadly do not recommend this product. Time to go back to the drawing board. I hope this helps you decide.

It's an okay product
I purchased this hoping it would help hold my phone as I had shoulder surgery. It's very big and bulky. It doesn't really match the picture. When you are using it the sides of it hangover the screen and make it hard to select buttons on the screen. I wouldn't recommend it. It did arrive quickly and without damage

great for rear facing child in chevy traverse - used with kindle fire 8
our son is still rear facing and is almost 2 years old so for longer rides we like to use the kindle fire - it holds the kids edition great (with the large case around it) and works well hooked over the middle of the 2nd row since the headrests on the chevy traverse do NOT move up and down so you cannot hook on the contraptions to hold tablets that most people use in their 2nd row. also - we have a mirror still threaded over the 2nd row headrest so we can see what he's up to so we did not have to remove the mirror by using this option, this simply went inbetween the two seats and is free to move around. I did fold a blanket under it for extra security so it wouldn't move when we hit bumps or anything. very happy with this purchase.

We purchased this for our mother in law who is always on her phone. She would try propping her phone on different things so imagine how happy she was to receive this. It goes wide enough to fit her leg & most couch arm rests. You can use this all kinds of ways to hold your phone. At home & in the car. Very nice phone holder.
