Entertaining with Disney: Exceptional Events From Mickey Mouse to Moana!

I am not a huge Disney fan, but I'd been coveting this book just based on some of the sneak peeks. My friends and I are at an age where we have kids to entertain, but want a hybrid where the grown-ups can appreciate an event too. I finally broke down and ordered it, and it is so fun. I've just been browsing through for the last couple of days. I noted some negative reviews. One referred to store bought crab cakes - and its true. There are plenty of short cuts for a busy hostess, and personally I am appreciative of any timesavers that make throwing events easier, yet still makes it appear that you didn't phone it in. The crafts are adorable. I spent quite some time practicing making strawberry roses that were listed in the Queen of Hearts Valentine event. I love the layout and the overall look of the book. There are light watercolor washes on the pages with beautiful disney sketch artwork. In all, there are 11 theme parties covered - and they run the gamut from Arabian Night outdoor movies to Frozen inspired hot cocoa. If your addicted to Pinterest parties, but want a book you can flip through, this is for you.

As someone who celebrates everything, I love this book! Different parties are presented with menus, recipes and decorations. These are doable, but elegant. Nicely themed with beautiful photographs. Although each party is very specific (i.e. Shower or birthday) you can easily adapt and adjust the ideas. Many of the crafts can also be adapted to everyday decorations or gifts. Honestly, I think many Disney fans would love this book because it is so gorgeous, even if they didn't plan to us it!

Great decorating ideas, menu with some recipes, and party games or favors, etc. Most holidays and special events are covered and the ideas of course are interchangeable. So the Lion King baby shower for example could be adapted to become a birthday party. You could change some things around to make a game or party favor fit the theme that you prefer. Fantastic color photos. And really like the Putting It all Together section that gives you a schedule to follow about when to do things. Just a lot of fun if you are a big Disney fan.

I don’t often write reviews but upon receiving this book I had to! It is absolutely stunning and pack to the brim with great ideas. The recipes are easy to follow, decorations and how to’s are easy yet beautiful and the book itself is organized well. If you have an ounce of creativity you’ll be able to use this book to create a wonderful Disney themed gathering. I can’t wait to throw my first Disney party!

This book is so pretty and fun to look at. It has some beautiful artwork. The themes are a lot of fun, with lots of opportunities to throw mini parties. I’ve seen some people complain that the recipes aren’t real or complete. The writers leave it up to your discretion but give you all the tools to make it work. You also get templates to download and find fun Disney facts throughout the book. I would recommend this book for any Disney lover. I can’t wait to throw some Disney themed parties.

I ordered this for a friend of mine who LOVES Disney and planning events. After going through this book, I absolutely love it! It has so much - from some recipes, to decoration tips and ideas, to some fun activities, music playlists, or party favors. It also includes a timeline on EACH themed event to help you plan accordingly, as well as a link to the templates they used, so that you can download them for no additional charge. Regarding the food items, there are AT LEAST four recipes (including one drink item, however) for every themed event, which I think is great. I have seen people comment that the recipes are unbalanced and some are just snack items, etc., but the author literally tells you in the beginning of the book that you can either stick to the book religiously, or you can add anything to your themed event if you want to - so you can add more entree-like foods, or even decorations, if desired. The book is meant to help you START with some food items and decor tips for planning a Disney themed event, and if you want to go further than what the book says, then go for it! :). All in all, I am very happy with this and would recommend for anyone who likes Disney and event planning!

I love this book! (My camera does NOT do the book photography justice). Love that the author includes not only recipes for everything but also craft & decorating ideas and a planning schedule. I can't wait to plan my first event. I hope the author will come out with another one - I'll buy it in a millisecond! :)

Bought item on the 5th of January 2022. Book was well received and delivered on the 6th of January 2022. It's a beautiful book with recipes and guides to creating wonderful disney-inspired themed parties. Just lovely.

Item came damaged as there was a tear coming up the spine. Thought about returning it but I’m in Australia and the item comes from America so it would cost more than the worth in shipping. The book was supposed to be a gift, really wish it wasn’t torn because the book is cute

Ich habe dieses Buch meiner Freundin geschenkt und sie ist offensichtlich begeistert. Ich habe mir erlaubt, es vor dem Verpacken kurz durchzublättern und fand die vielen Ideen ebenfalls toll. Das Layout ist hübsch, die Kapitel farblich auf das Thema abgestimmt und alles in allem ist es eine kleine Schatzkiste, voller Ideen, Inspirationen und Anregungen. Man darf an der Stelle kein umfassendes Kochbuch erwarten – aber das möchte dieses Exemplar auch gar nicht sein.

This book has a pretty cover and I was so excited to open it. That's where the good news ends. It's neither a recipe book or a craft book because it does not offer enough information on either... it's not useful whatsoever.
