Bought this case for a 35 year old custom graphite Fenwick 6 wt fly rod that i still use every spring. An anniversary gift from my wife that I take care of and use, the cap on the original aluminum tube it came in broke and keeping it in the tube with a sock in the end just wasn't what the rod deserved so i bought this as a replacement. The size is abought 10" to long but since it wasn't custom built for the rod I found that ok.

Case worked perfectly for traveling with two short two-piece spinning rods. Much quieter than my previous unlined hard plastic case. This case is more compact than most cases on the market. Fits in places most won’t during a long road trip where space in the car is at a premium. Exactly what I was looking for!

Good variety of lengths. Internal sleeve separates rods and prevents rattle damage. Much lighter than homemade pvc tubes. Good price, good value.

My husband has an antique split bamboo fly rod. It was given to him by Ted Williams. He had a carboard tube he kept it in, but I worried that it rubbed together. So I ordered this for him and it is great. Has 3 openings, 1 for each piece of the fly rod, they don't rub together in this holder. It has a place for travel tag and is supposed to be approved for travel, if we ever get to travel again. It has a zipper closing. Very nice,

The rod case is very sturdy and has pockets for each rod section. I didn’t read the description carefully and didn’t realize it didn’t have a pocket for the reel or a place to carry the reel. Very nice, but not as functional as a case that accepts a reel
