Charlie And The Chocolate Factory [VHS]

First of all, can't believe that this movie was free until December and suddenly because we are in a lock down at home you guys have the audacity to start charging money. Pathetic!Is this the way you reward loyal customers paying £8 a month.

Good film but I didn't really warm to this Willy Wonka character as much as I did to the original.

did not like this film. much preferred the Gene Wilder version

I didn't like this much. I appreciate the different take on a classic movie but it's just nowhere near as good as Gene Wilder's original. It doesn't give you the same joyous feeling and Depp just comes across as cold and boring. He doesn't have Wilder's genius and spirit. If you've never seen the original, buy that instead of this and then love Gene Wilder like most of us do.

The film is ok but definitely not as great as the original ‘Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory’ film with Gene Wilder.

this is an all right film, but the original one was better

Have now watched this movie with my son more than 20 times and am so grateful for Tim Burton’s craftsmanship and the amazing casting and performances. There’s always something I hadn’t noticed before which makes repeat viewing totally bearable.

We enjoyed watching the film. Chocolate is always good even in the film
