She was just 2 at the time. She liked using MegaBlocks and Duplos, but I wanted something a little different for her to experiment with. I had seen Wedgits in a few educational toy catalogs and wondered what they were like. After reading all of the reviews, I decided this gift would be perfect. On Christmas morning, she opened Barbies, dolls, dress-up clothes, etc. When she got to the Wedgits, she put down everything else and wanted me to open them immediately. My son, 5, put down what he was opening and was wathcing what we were doing. My husband, son, and daughter spent the rest of the morning configuring different things. Since then I have found my husband (a construction engineer) tinkering with them, even when the kids are no where near them. A great gift that they still play with 8 months later! Don't foget to get the little building board too. However, the 2 1/2 is intrigued beaus e my 5 year old it. Fun for the whole family. I leave it out on the table for anyone to fool around with it.
