I have a 40 gallon breeder tank heavily planted with low tech plants like Anubis, crypts, some moss and a ton of guppy grass. Nothing incredibly care intensive mind you. For years I had used a very expensive ($150 at the time) Finnex planted plus 24/7. It was a great light that cycled through day and night lights to mimic the sun. However, it never seemed like enough and even though I have a low tech tank the growth was extremely slow. Loved the features and ease of use but disappointed with the light output Unfortunately it died on me. I needed a replacement quick so jumped on here and found this one. Some pretty good reviews, more basic in features, but with a wall outlet timer for $5, it seemed like it would work. Honestly, i've been blown away with it's performance. I've had it for close to a year now and it's been amazing. The light output is much higher than the other without seeming like it's blinding the inside of the tank. I don't currently have it raised at all, as it's only 2 inches above the water, and the plant growth in my tank has been outstanding. All my plants are generating new growth, the moss and guppy grass is exploding to where I have to toss handfuls of it every other week. Anubias, which are typically slow growers, are growing much faster, taller, and fuller than ever before! For $40... i'm super impressed. I'm not sure how this light would do with higher tech tanks, as in tanks that have more intensive plants, CO2, etc... but for most fish hobbyists I bet this would do the trick. I'm sure some of the negative reviews come from them breaking down quickly or arriving non operational, and unfortunately you take that risk with every "electrical" item out there. My $150 finnex light should have lasted a few years longer, but it didn't. So coming from somebody who, I would say, is fairly experienced in the hobby, this has been a great light.

So far, this is a great value light. I am using it on a 29 gallon tank and it fits really well. One of my favorite features is that you can adjust the color temperature from a very cool white, to a slightly warmer white. You can also adjust the intensity which is great. It does exactly what I need it to do for my tank considering i have many plants that require medium to high light. What I do not like is the build quality. The clear plastic that shields the LEDs moves around a bit like its not sealed so I do question how long this will hold up. In general, LEDs aren't super affected by water so it will probably be fine. And for the money, even if it doesn't last more than 2-3 years, still probably worth it. I also cannot get the light to sit super tightly on the tank. It slides around on top of the frame some. Not really a huge issue as it doesn't get messed with much. But i could see someones cat jumping on top and knocking it off. Not a deal breaker, just a nit pick. Overall, this is a great light so far and i would definitely recommend it.

I upgraded to this light since my Dwarf Hairgrass carpet was not growing like it should have been with the cheap Hygger light I had on it. I put this on the tank, set it up with the easy-to-follow instructions, and it works great! Looks just like natural sunlight shining into the tank, and can get nearly as bright! It really makes colors pop! It ramps up and down for sunrise-sunset, you can set what time you want it to turn on, manually turn it on and off without screwing up your previous settings, adjust the brightness, and more! My only complaint (if you can even call it that) is the fact that it isn't water-proof like my other lights. That's fine, since I have a glass top on the tank I put it on, but even so, I like not having to worry about dropping my lights in the water. I definitely recommend this purchase, and it was surprisingly affordable for the design and performance I've seen thus far from Nicrew.

I love this light! It fits perfectly on my 15 gallon aquarium and it’s not too bright. It was easy to assemble and the set up instructions were easy too. So far my aquarium plants have been thriving with it and I have the timer set so it will turn on and off automatically. The lights are high quality, the product as a whole is sturdy and easy to move if needed. The only thing I wish it had was a designated button for the light brightness! It’s kind of confusing to figure out how to adjust manually.

Si quieras está lámpara para alto requerimientos de terrarios o acuario no la recomiendo debes de usar dos para ese propósito, aunque por lo demás es liviana, cómoda y funcional

Excellent results so far. My plants started pearling more rapidly as soon as it was turned on. Adjustability a great bonus!

Por el precio no está mal pero definitivamente le falta potencia de luz, yo las utilizo para terrarios y no son lo suficientemente potentes para plantas de altos requerimientos, no las recomiendo si necesitas potencia igual son bastante incómodas para configurar

Update: it has not been very long that it is in use but my plants are improving and ones that would turn red in good light are doing just that. Very very happy with this light. My Amazon plants are getting really dark green too. They were doing really poorly before. I had a fluorescent fixture before and it was not bright and there were shadows in the tank. Switching out to this light and it is really nice and bright. Simple to setup if you follow the directions. I did not change the brightness as it is bright enough. Really hope it supports my live plants as they were visibly struggling under the original light. It came in the original packing which was sufficient for the light. I have been quite happy with all the lights I have purchased from them and won’t hesitate to switch out my submersible in my 5 gallon planted to one of these down the road.
