2014 C7 Chevy Corvette Stingray 1/18 Red by Maisto

This corvette is awesome, completely beautiful. I bought this for my dad's birthday but am seriously considering keeping it. Very well detailed and extremely sturdy. This is no cheap little toy, but an item for a serious collector. I am very happy with it and would recommend anyone to buy one.

I had to get this as it is my dream car at the moment. The hood, doors and hatch all open to show good detail of the interior. The steering wheel actually turns the front wheels!

It was larger & prettier than I expected, which is a very good thing. It seems very durable. A nice, heavy die-cast. Very nice. I know that he is going to absolutely love it for his birthday next week.

I wanted a model Corvette Stingray to hold me over until I buy the real thing, but that won't be for at least a year from now. While I did have to settle for Crystal Red Tintcoat instead of Torch Red, I'm happy to say that this model Stingray is full of detail, and after study pictures of the real car this seems to be spot on. There are no cheap stickers that will fall off. Everything is painted on. Inside the dash, the vents, shifter, magnetic selective ride, etc. all are there, and are painted.I was afraid these would be stickers and corners would be cut, but I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of detail! The hood opens to reveal the 6.2L V8, the steering wheel turns the wheels, and you will even find the exhaust on the bottom. The brake calipers are painted, the interior and engine bay are rich in detail, and they even have the centerview mirror correct. The only thing is the targa top does not come off, but I did not expect it to. The model has a decent weight and feel to it, and it is chilling on my desk to remind me of what I will get my hands on for real one day. Hope this review helps!

For the price I can afford this Corvette----not the one at the Chevy dealership.This 1/18 scale model is pretty good.Detail is also good.I have other 'Vette models that cost more than I paid for this and this seems just as well built as those are.If you like 'Vette's like I do or own one as I do ('77 L-82 -4sp.-350 cu.in.) you'll be happy with this on your desk or in your garage.

This car is very nice. It is not the quality of the Danbury Mint Corvettes that I have collected over the years and are no longer available but for the price it is acceptable.
