The Penguin Pocket Rhyming Dictionary (Dictionary, Penguin)

A good dictionary, but still not a perfect one. I thought I had lost mine and was trying to replace it. Thanks goodness I found my original one.

Was a bit disappointed in this book only because it's not all that user friendly!

I bought two to compare. This one I find harder to use than the other but am keeping as a spare.

I found this rhyming dictionary to be so strangely organized that it was almost unusable. You have to look up a word in the index where you get a number (often with 2 decimals) and then you have to page back to find that corresponding number to see the entries. And then those similar sounds are not even grouped together. Also, when you go to the corresponding number, the entries aren't even alphabetized. I've had several rhyming dictionaries, but never have come across this strange method of organizing. It would stymie my workflow. I returned it.

Product arrived earlier than expected, perfect second hand dictionary. I already love it and its super helpful for my job. Thank you!

Not too impressed with this apart from size. I've used better ones. I am not keen on the search method with this book.

Perfect. One review complained that it wasn't "pocket-sized" enough! I disagree. I've owned the hardback version for years and this is just the right size. Any smaller and either the number of words contained within would have to be reduced or the typeface size, so I'm more than happy.

The content is excellent. That is why I have given it four stars. The photo implies one of those little pocket books with the rounded corners, you know, with the plastic covers. It is not. And it is not as small.

I am stuck whilst making up rhymes inside birthday cards there are times when I simply cannot think of a word that rhymes with the word I need to use so this is SO helpful & time saving.
