Great for intermediate player. The stick is well made and very straight. I will purchase another one with a smaller tip diameter and different tip for experimentation. Fancy inlays mean nothing to me and the plain stain on this cue looks great.

I like the stick but it's not exactly the color I ordered. The purple i ordered showed like a red wine reddish/purple, but what i got is more blue/royal purple.

It's essential to have an "arrow straight" cue that is buttery smooth, solid, and balanced that can be aimed with accuracy and precision to give every player, from beginner to pro, the best opportunity to "make the shot". It's apparent Viking has put everything they've learned into this moderate price point cue for the player to get the most out of it. The design, the build (China), and the quality control is excellent. A product Viking can be proud of and players can use with confidence. I chose Natural, Irish linen wrap. It might look plain...it's everything but. Exactly what I wanted and got. Thank you Viking.

Several reviews said that the Valhal 100 series by Viking was a great cue for the budget shopper, I agree now that I’ve tried it.

I never leave reviews but this cue deserves a few minutes of my time. The quality is very nice and it is perfectly straight. The tip had a bit of a hard dried up spot when it arrived. I used a very sharp exacto knife to gently scrap it away, followed it up with a friend's shaper tool the next day and it's working nicely. The weight and feel is perfect for me and I'm very satisfied.

Works great and looks amazing. It took me awhile to decide on a new cue and I'm glad I ended up with this one. It feels good and can tell its not thrown together cheaply.
