I'm using two for a water separator and a fuel filter. I specifically found these, as cheaper alternatives are known to gall the threads and cause issues there.My only gripe about them is that their "in" and "out" flow is not in line, so if you wanted to run these filters side by side inline, they would have to be offset from the mount by about 1" because the exit port goes straight across to another exit port, so the ports have to \ cross front to back to connect two inline.Other than the port position, they seem to be great filter housings. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works with the Caterpillar 1R-0750 and 1R-0749 filters *by 9***4 on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2015* Works great. This mounting base is aluminum, but the threaded nipple that the filter screws on is plated steel. The fuel line connections are 1/2" NPT, so using readily available hose barbs to install this is inexpensive and easy. I used this mounting base with a Caterpillar 1R-0749 filter. This base is better than the ALL aluminum Baldwn FB1311 base, the ALL aluminum Caterpillar 280-2698 base or the ALL aluminum Fleetguard 142784S base.
