Well made small silent neon transformer. I use them to replace noisy old transformers in antique neon clocks. They are nicely packaged and include some heat shrink tubing.

I bought this to light up an old neon Coca Cola sign I acquired. The original transformer was a 3.8kv that is no longer available. After searching I found some used ones that were in $100 price range. Although this was a little shy on the voltage I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. This transformer is small size big punch. Worked like a charm. Thumbs up

So I just received my order of two units. I was very excited at a $16 power supply! I've been doing novice neon work this last year and power supplies are the most expensive part of the equation. I grabbed a unit and brought it into the shop to do some testing and see how it performs. Results as follows: test subject -- 15mm tubing, 5' adding 1' for electrodes, calculate as 6'. input: 110vac short circuit = 14ma circuit after powering tube = 8.2ma This precipitous drop suggests that the voltage is lower than the suggested 3kv at this input input: 240vac short circuit = 26.7ma circuit after powering tube = 20.4ma This current and consumption are more in line with the suggested ratings conclusion: though rated as 100 - 240vac, this unit only performs satisfactorily at 240vac. It is not power-corrected, or else the power-correction is malfunctioning on the unit tested. I should also note that this specific unit I tested I am intending as a casual accent lamp, and the dimmer glow produced at 100vac suits these purposes. If it was to be a shop window or business signage, it would be missing the luminosity found at full power. further tests: open circuit protection works no ground protection tested using true RMS meters

I bought this when the base power supply of my neon palm tree sculpture stopped working. This power supply worked great as a replacement.
