Is the black speckled with gold?

The vase itself is black speckled, the lid to the inner vase is gold

Ive read that lid doesn't come off is that right

The lid does com off on the one I bought it is very nice and worth the money.

What weight? Will it get blown about in the worst of uk weather?

It will depend on how exposed the site is I suppose but have not had a problem with it blowing over, the square shape is better than the urn type shape we had before. We have put some pea gravel in the bottom of our's to help with stability.
