beautiful and simple
well made (as are all bodum products) and it looks and functions beautifully. As others have said, I would strongly recommended using a size 4 paper filter in addition to the permanent filter as this gets rid of all residue without compromising on taste. The red wrapping adequately insulates your hands as the glass gets extremely hot, as you can imagine with boiling water. I'd really recommend. I've never owned a Chemex or other pour over before but this does the job well and produces an excellent cup of coffee.

Great pourover coffee maker.
Second one I've bought, because the first one broke when one of my children knocked it over. But it's a really good alternative to the Chemex, and since its a metal filter, it'll keep the oils in your coffee! Makes up to a litre of coffee, so about 3-4 mugs full. I do wrap a tea towel around it to keep it warmer for longer. I'd advise a medium to coarse ground coffee. The metal filter is good (better than cafetiere), but a fine ground slows the flow too much and you end up with an overbrewed coffee with some sediment. I still prefer my Aeropress for single cups, but when I make it for more than just myself, this is my go to method.

Lovely coffee maker
I have recently been in USA and started to appreciate the coffee over there so I decided to try the Bodum Poor Over Cofee Maker. I didn’t want to spend lots of money on an electric one and also I didn’t want another machine/appliance on my counter. I’m really pleased with my purchase. It’s easy to use and to clean. I use a paper filter to avoid coffee residues.

Great coffee maker
Ideal for when making coffee for dinner guest. Stylish way to serve coffee and keeps it warm if you want more later on. Had a reusable filter which is washable, but you can also use paper filters if you want to. The cork around the neck is removable during washers and you can buy different variations of you want to change up the style of the grip to a plastic one.

Reliably good coffee at a good price.
As long as you use this properly it makes a great cup of coffee. Easy to use (but requires a little patience) and easy to clean up after. The only criticism would be that the reuseable metal filter does let a fair bit of grounds through. You could put a paper filter in if it bothers you, but the shape of the jug keeps most of them back anyway. It pains me to edit this as the world should not work in such an inexplicable way, but the coffee from this definitely tastes better with an Osaka filter.

Great coffee maker.
So easy to use, quick to wash. Much easier to clear thoroughly compared to the standard cafetières. Find that using a little spoon to swirl around the coffee while pouring water in is the most effective way of getting out all the flavour. Very happy.

Definitely a Chemex replacement
It's a bit of a faff to clean, had to get a scourer with a handle to scrub it inside as your hand wont pass the neck. Besides that, it's a pretty fantastic pour over. The filter is sturdy albeit a bit too white netting for my preference so I use some cheap N.4 filter paper on top (you can get 40 for about £3 in M&S). Keeps the coffee warm for a long time, particularly considering it's glass. And it looks absolutely gorgeous.

Excellent but delicate
We've had 3 of these over the years. We use them everyday, they look and work brilliantly however they are quite fragile and easily explode into a million pieces if touched against anything hard. Extra care needed when washing it at the sink not to clip an edge. The metal filter works well enough but does let through quite a lot of sediment. We sometimes pop in a paper filter if we want a 'smooth' coffee. All in all, an excellent product.

Saves space for me. Easy to clean. Fresh coffee flavor. I can also grind herbs and make infusions if I want.

The overall design is quite good; needs carefully handling as it is made of glass; overall it is a nice item :)

Love the filter holder it’s such great double wired quality. I still use a paper filter with it and it’s great. Size 4 in cone. The double wall successfully keeps it warm for a really long time. If filled to the top it can make 4 normal cups of coffee even 5 or 2 very large American size cups. Super easy to clean very sturdy and beautiful to look at. HIGHLY recommend
