It's really helped me be confident not only in coaching, but in other areas of my life as well. Review: Powerful Book On Moving Forward With Your Coaching Journey - This book is written in a way that speaks directly to me on becoming what I was born to do. I was a Boy Scout then a Soldier then a Technical Support Specialist then a Regional Specialist and finally a National Subject Matter Expert for a large International corporation. Then I left corporate America to become an entrepreneur. This new entrepreneurial path required a new mindset and a requirement to be more self reliant than ever. In 2012 I opened the doors to a Community CoWorking Space in BethlehemUSA. Over the years I explained to everyone the importance of working together and to learn from and teach one another. As time went by the successes started to build and we established a tract record for success but I hadn’t yet realized my true calling until one evening that we had gathered for our regularly scheduled Sales & Marketing Mastermind Meetup and the topic of Business Coaching came up. As the Universe would have it two of my Mastermind Group members chimed up and ask me why I was not a Business Coach. I was stumped for a moment then my life journey flashed before my eyes and it was clear. I had been a Coach since I was 12 when as a Boy Scout I started to train others and be trained by older youth to move forward towards leadership roles and my own personal advancement. My whole technical career and entrepreneurial career was my training and I never saw it until the Mastermind Meetup. The next day I researched the Coaching topic and this book appeared exactly on universal time to provide me with the wisdom, knowledge and motivation that has now sealed my path for the last ⅓ of my life. Thank you MeganJo

Empowering and Encouraging for New Coaches
This book is a quick, motivating read with solid reminders of why I chose to be a coach in the first place—why I’m willing to put myself out there and serve the women who truly need me. Megan Jo Wilson does a great job of addressing the fears and doubts that come up when stepping into this role, and her writing has a direct, no-nonsense style that makes it easy to digest. There is a fair amount of discussion about God, which could have been a turn-off for me as a former believer. However, I found it easy enough to either take what resonated or skim over those parts without losing the overall message. The core of the book is about owning your voice, stepping into your purpose, and getting out of your own way—all things every coach needs to hear at some point (or multiple points) on their journey. Overall, I’d recommend this to any new coach struggling with self-doubt or the fear of putting themselves out there. It’s a great little confidence boost when you need a push to keep going.

influencing
I took a life coaching course several years ago, no intent of really becoming a life coach, but to learn the aspects of coaching, influencing, and help guiding, and better communication. I enjoyed the inspiration in this book and the spiritual impact of your daily life in general. And ended with; “My wish for you is that you lighten up” “If nothing else, responding to grace with faith will get you into inspired action” so true. Thank you

Quick read with good info
The points are all true and reinforce them if you got it already. So it was a review for me. But I’m sure it would be good for many others.

I’m a student coach struggling with all the usual challenges about setting up a coaching business at some point in the future. I was stuck in “Do I need to find a niche? What’s my niche going to be?” Reading the chapter on who you’re going to serve, it came to me! Would I have come to that same thought without the book? Maybe. Eventually. But when I read the chapter on Service, it was like a light bulb being switched on - thank you Megan Jo! The rest of the book is great too - there are some great descriptions of coaching techniques that I’ll use (I love ‘stepping into’ a feeling). And the way each chapter ends with a section on ‘Make it Real’ makes this really practical. If you’re just starting your coaching journey, read this book!

Great book from someone who has been through it all. I especially like the part on grace and faith. It has reminded me of harsh reality in building a business - and coaching is a business too.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and will refer to it if I am feeling out of sorts. It is also written in a relaxed way so easy to take in.
