This eyeliner is the only one I’ve used that stays on until I take it off. After giving it time to set, it doesn’t smudge or rub off. No irritation. Color is a deep black. Sharpens easily. A keeper.

I really love this liner. The black is so vivid and bold, and it glides on like a charm. It truly stays all day without smudging or smearing, which is rare for something that applies so smoothly. My only small gripe is that I wish the tip were a little sharper for more precise lining. But overall, it does exactly what it says. I love it, intense color, long wear, and effortless application. I love this collection by Loreal, and for the price you you can't go wrong.

So when I first bought this eyeliner pencil and it came brand new, nice and sharpened and ready to use, it worked great. It went on smooth, lasted all day, and was smudge proof. However, when it came to be time to sharpen it again, that's where I started having trouble. It would break everytime I tried to sharpen it. So then I ordered the L'Oreal sharpener which is supposedly made just for this eyeliner. But when using it, the pencil continued to break! I also tried putting it in the freezer and then sharpening it....still broke, ugh! So I was about to give up on this eyeliner, even though it went on so nice when it was new. Well I happened to order this: "Makeup Sharpener by Revlon for Eyeliner, Lip Liner, and More! Universal Sharpener for All Wooden & Plastic Pencil Sizes" to use for my lip pencil . When it came I thought, hey, why not give the L'Oreal pencil another try and try sharpening it with this. Yes, it worked, and continues to work! So in the end, (once I found the right sharpener) yes, I love this eyeliner!

What I like about this eyeliner is that it stays on better/longer than others. What makes me give this a 4 star is that it's harder to sharpen/get a nice point again after first use. I aleady had the auburgine, so I purchased the brown and black this time. Had some issues with the black liner, but it was made right/they sent a new liner to me the next day.

TIGHTLINE PROCEDURE: applied, then opened eyes wide with little blinking for 1 minute. COLOR: very nice, deep purple (no sparkle or metallic tinges). The color rivaled but wasn't as rich as Urban Decay 24/7. (But UD smudged on my hooded, extremely oily eyes & disappeared by the end of the day.) NO SMUDGING: woo hoooo! No smudging on top or below eyes throughout the day. Some fading, but not marked. I don't ever re-apply so more than enough color left to make me happy. REMOVAL: with Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup Remover on a cotton pad, I gently press it on my eyelid & then with the pad, roll my upper lid just ever so slightly & keep the pad on the tightlined area for a few seconds. After, I wait 20-30 seconds, and then swipe several times with the pad again. This removes all or most of the liner. I wouldn't qualify this as an easy to remove liner, but it's easy enough given the all-day wear. Also, for perspective, I do not wear mascara. Lastly, I don't wear contacts so I can't speak to whether this liner would cause irritation. DEFINITELY HG! I'm a relative minimalist with makeup. 5-10 minutes at most with SPF, pressed powder, loose powder, lite blush, eyebrows, & tightline liner. Because of its outstanding color & all-day staying power (into 9-10 pm), it's easily become my HG liner!

I really like the color a lot. I like the ease of how it goes on and it lasts a few hours. But it's easily used up in one application. It has to be sharpened every time. I do not like the fact that it is too soft and breaks off easily in my pencil sharpener. The pencil itself did not last long at all and was used up really fast. It would be great if they could make it a roll-up eyeliner instead.

I was playing around with my expensive liners (Beckham, Wonderskin, Gellar, etc) and through a stripe of this one I bought a year ago and kind of forgot. Well, I am so surprised! This product stayed longer than almost all of them!! And it did not just stay, but it stayed bright, and the color did not dull like the only other one that lasted (Wonderskin). I’m ready to order more now!

I use this to match my eyebrows to my hair color, and for that application I highly recommend it! Within a minute or so of using this pencil, it doesn't smudge at all, which means it stays on my brows instead of making its way onto the frames of my glasses. I have to use micellar water with a washcloth to get it off, occasionally rubbing against the grain. I've used it as actual eyeliner only once, and it stayed on for nearly three days, though showering and other applications of makeup. I have fragile eyelids due to a collagen condition, and if I rub them too much they get super irritated; after gently wiping the liner with micellar water didn't work, I decided to just leave it alone. Because it dries matte and can be difficult to remove, I wouldn't recommend this for waterline use. As far as I can tell, the barrel of the pencil is plastic, which means the liner itself isn't very firmly adhered in there. I've had two sticks of this so far, and there's a higher incidence of breakage when sharpening than I've had with wooden pencils, because the sharper you try to get it, the more it has opportunity to bend slightly in the sharpener and snap off. I can't get this liner to a fine point, which hasn't been a big deal for my giant eyebrows but may create an issue for folks using it on their lids.

Beautiful colour, long wear time, no smudging, no raccoon eyes after 10+ hours. Needs a good sharpener as the wood is hard. I will definitely buy this again rather than spending $20+ for a Lise watier metallic brown pencil (not retractable either) which doesn't last as long and smudges by the end of the day. I wish there would be more metallic colours like this one.
