Brilliant little tiny camera on a stick used with a galaxy note 10+
I always wanted a pair of custom fit in ear headphones so forked out on a set of snugs headphones. Snugs arranged for me to visit a local audiologist to have impressions of my ear canals taken. I was all excited and a little nervous. Before they could squirt the stuff into my ears they had to check their condition first. The first ear was nice and clean but the second was partially blocked with wax which meant that they could not take the impression as it might force the wax together into my ear. I asked if they could syringe my ear but because of Damn covid they were not offering this service. So I hit Amazon and bought an ear syringe for £8 and this otoscope. Used the syringe and a hole lot of Crap came out. Used the camera and my ear canal was as clean as a whistle. I've now rebooked my impressions and will soon be the owner of some banging custom fit earphones. The camera was a doodle to set up and worked brilliantly. Just don't forget to take the little plastic cap off the end of you will end up scratching your head wondering why you have a blurry image. I totally recommend this camera and at £15 I cannot believe how good it is.

Good once I figured out how to make it work.
I bought this to check the ears at my rabbit retirement home.Firstly the driver didn't work, so had to uninstall and reinstall. Then the camera app couldn't find it so I downloaded the app in the instructions. The instructions are in a really small font and hard to understand. And the link in the instructions doesn't work. So I had to Google to find the app.Once I had managed to install it, it worked really well. As other reviewers said, it does get hot, so you need to turn the light off and let it cool down.

You get what you pay for
Unless you are 5cm away you will not get a good picture even then the quality is very grainy and poor no good for looking for an object in a tight place as you need to be very close just to see the object.Even with the light the quality is not good.

Meh
Picture quality poor for the price. I've had one previously which was a lot cheaper and better. Accessories are flimsy too.

Awful
Absolute rubbish..no clear instructions for software and no software would work. Camera did not even light up and was completely dead. Emailed company but they were hopeless. Have filed a return to amazon, but the label i was sent was not a proper amazon label, but one from the 3rd party and is not acceptable to the post office so basically i have been conned fir an item which is faulty

Please do not stick this into your body
I'm not going to tell people that they shouldn't put a camera inside their ear, but I will say that those people should avoid this one. I purchased this because I needed something long and slim with a solid shaft for another (non bodily) purpose. What I got was basically a stainless tube with a camera and some LEDs on the end. The tip is not sealed in any way, both the camera lens and LEDs are completely exposed, which would definitely trap any debris between the components, and the warmth of the LEDs would cause some serious bacterial growth. It's impossible to sanitise so 100% not body safe. The camera itself is poor quality. Straight out of the box with the cap removed, the image was blurry. Cleaning the end didn't help. I couldn't get it to work on an Android phone, but I could get it to work on my laptop using VLC and selecting the camera as a source. On a Linux machine it shows up as /dev/video0, I didn't try on Windows. The connector is this strange dual purpose USB-A with flip out Mini-B combination. Actually a clever design. There's also a Mini-B to USB-C adaptor included. The LEDs get worryingly hot, even at moderate brightness. The camera sensor is so weak that you need maximum brightness to see anything in a dark tube. After a single use I got grease stuck on the end and I couldn't clear it out, so I had to throw it in the bin. Total waste of money, look for something else.

Great little camera
I have an ear problem and wanted to check it out. I tried looking with the end of a cheap snake camera, but the focus on that is 8cm away so it's useless. This focusses around 1cm and is slimmer. I sterilised the metal with an alcohol wipe, plugged it in, then found it in Windows OBS Studio. It only has a small 640x480 sensor, but that's perfectly adequate. It worked very well. Gets a bit hot with the lamp cranked right up (they all do) but it doesn't need to be that bright. Comes in a nice case too with some other bits. Really pleased with it.

Great value for money.
This is a great product. Ideal for all ages.I gave it as a gift to my parents . My dad loved it.The idea that you can see exactly what's in your ear on your phone was great. It's very easy to set up.Highly recommend.
