As advertized!
I recently bought an older Ibanez 5 string bass to "lighten the load" of my active 5 string for shows, and could not wait to try these out. I research as much as possible before any online purchase, and was skeptical when near all reviews were so gushing and positive, but curiosity hounded my interest to submission. This pup arrived promptly, and I unfortunately had to mod the body for it to fit but a simple router-job and good. I love the response and feel of it! I am surprised at the clarity and punch. I have played for years but mostly as a songwriter who dabbled in drums keys and bass, but fronted bands as guitarist, none the less even I noticed switching from Rock/metal,pop type to "Cow-punk" that my "live"sound was not cutting through. The present band,is a 3 piece with myself on bass leaving no where to hide and "presence" is crucial so my old go-to active bass left me frustrated (not to mention sore!!). The output of the Qp was much more than I expected but the smiles on the faces of my buds said what I could not. Nice nice nice!!!!!!! I am no expert by far but I am sensitive to tone, and this worked perfectly for me....may have to get 1 for the neck position
