With the volume knob turned back to 6 or 7 I can get a really good spank sound but with the knobs dime'd I am getting sounds that are stronger than my stock Strat pickups without any muddiness whatsoever. The guitar with these pickups is the one that I reach for now when it is time to get my spank on. In this situation, I wanted white covers but I can see wanting black on a different project but they are not included.
