Works great, easy to use
I needed a good quality, easy to use CD player for use in our church choir room, and this one is the best I've found. Definitely would recommend.

Valuable and underrated functions for live performances, even if you are not a DJ
If you have EVER had to queue a single track for a performance from a CD, you will give thanks to the deity you regard the highest for this CD player. Why? Several reasons. In my application, I operate a dance studio and we use the CD player for showcase dances and to practice routines. Here are some of the reasons why this is invaluable for supporting live performance, even if you're not a DJ: 1. You can select the 'single play' mode with a press of the front control. When your track is done, it stops. Sounds easy and perhaps unnecessary, right? How many times has the next track started during a performance when you thought you had stopped it (be honest here)? 2. You have a 'Cue' button that locks in the track you want. Play is started when you press 'Play'. This two step approach avoids premature amplification of your track. No need to feel embarrassed if this has happened to you. We all do it. It won't happen with this unit. 3. It won't eject when its playing. You have to stop it. I won't make a joke here using 'premature', but you probably already have said it in your head. 4. If you use the USB drive (and I recommend that you do), it finds MP3 tracks and lets you move among them to select the one you want. You'll see the title and other ID3 information. You play it using the Cue and Play button as described above. 5. You can switch back and forth between the CD and USB using one of the front panel buttons. This has all kind of DJ capability which I'll probably never use, although the ability to create a playlist is interesting. Being able to jog forward and back using the dial is helpful when practicing a dance routine. You can set a marker and jump directly to it, so that queuing for a practice point is easy. I was so impressed that I purchased one for my church.

Good, compact unit - can play CD and USB thumb drives, but lacks SD card slot
I own a mobile DJ business and I play most of my music out of a computer. As a result, I never plan to play CDs, but you occasionally get a last-minute request from a client who brought a CD... and more importantly, a CD player can be a safety net in case there's ever a computer problem. Even though I always bring an extra computer and an extra hard drive, it can take a few minutes to make the switch -- but there's no downtime at all when you've got a CD on standby, ready to go at a moment's notice. My only gripe with traditional dual CD players made for DJs is that they are pretty heavy, relative to other items in an equipment rack filled with gear, and also considering how light a CD player really COULD be. Not to mention, they eat up a lot of rack space -- the old Denon I have takes up 2U on the front of the rack for the actual CD trays, and 1U on the top of the rack for the controllers. Hoping to lighten the load, and modernize somewhat, I wanted to find a player that was lighter and could also play newer media. This Numark unit does it without breaking the bank. Although it only has one CD slot, it does play MP3 CDs and it also has a USB slot so you can hook up a thumb drive. (The instructions say the USB port does not feed enough power for a full external hard drive.) My only wish is that they would have also added a slot for SD cards, as an SD card could slide into the machine -- as opposed to a USB stick that hangs off (see the primary photo for the item) and could potentially be knocked loose and disconnected while it's in use. I think I did see a few similar units which could do CD, USB and SD cards, but they had much higher prices, so I guess I can't complain too much. Even though this unit is compact, it still packs a lot of features into the buttons and shuttle/jog/scratch wheel to the right.

EXTREAMLY DISAPPOINTED. POOR QUALITY CONTROL.
Bought this for mainly playback sync in my rack mounted studio setup. Ignored the % leveling knob falling off periodically and missing set screws for holding the face plate to the chassis itself. Played well at first. Casual use only. 3% out of 100% play time listening to CD's. After one year, turned it on. Malfunctioning. Just stopped working. It won't close at all to play. Again, It barely used and I keep a gentle touch on all of my equipment. Please do not waist your money. Better reviews means that your spinning the wheel of "maybe so", "maybe no" like I did. Well, so much for that spin. EXTREAMLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE QUALITY CONTROL OF THIS PRODUCT.

CD player with all the bells and whistles. Does not have a stop button....odd!
This is the best CD player I have owned. Lots of control and manipulation. I use this player for CD playback of music in my recording studio. I burn CDs of rehearsal. Then use this player for playback.

Nice unit. But exclusively for DJ.
I bought this for use to use in corporate sound entertainment setting. Non DJ. I like the deck. It's well-made and it has plenty of bells and whistles. I don't like the jog so close to the play button and it lacks the basic functionality of what one would expect a "basic" CD player to do. Numark is a great brand and this deck is good for DJs.

Excellent CD Player.
I bought this for my church to use in the choir room. The unit works great and the controls are easy to use. We're very happy with it so far. Very good for split-track CD's.

I was looking for a dual CD CD3 and USB unit as a one combined unit such as: A Numark Dual CD mix player or a Gemini CDX Series CDX - 2250i Pro audio DJ Media Player With USB I you have either one available in the future I would be interested in purchasing it. Thank you for your support, Cheers Norm Bakker.

Cumple su cometido, el único detalle es que no acepta USB 3.0, solo USB 2.0, pero es algo mínimo, como para impedirme darle 5 estrellas :) ... ¡Recomendado!
