Q: My duct going in to the air handler is very short. Can I mount this in the section next to the coil and blower where my old one was?

I wouldn't if it's made of fiberboard or any kind of plastic with fiberglass in it. The UV from this is powerful and will degrade the adhesive. Then you have fiberglass blowing through your house in tiny pieces that may not even see. This happened to a shroud over my fan in the air handler. I had to cover it with aluminum tape. I got a wicked rash from my arm rubbing against it.

Yes, one 036 for each unit should be within in the sf capabilities. My 036 is handling 1900 sf.
