I like the book. I was looking for something a little more than what was in this book. This does not mean that this book isn't what someone else is looking for.

This book gives ideas and examples of traditional wedding ceremonies, with ample suggestions at the end of each chapter.Although the ceremonies and excerpts given are traditional, they are a good basis for developing your own unique wedding.

If you're looking for a book that panders to prevailing contemporary sentiments about what a traditional Catholic or Jewish wedding should be, this is not your book, as the parish pastor's review above attests. Rather, this is a thorough and fascinating intelligent treatment of religious cultural traditions for anyone who might be interested, including pastors who might want to offer some guidance to their parishioners about the meaningful traditions of their own faith rather than simply let the tail of popular culture wag the dog. A brilliant treatment!
