Gefen Ext-Rmt-Extirn HDMI Over IP with RS-232 and Bi-Directional IR - GTV-DVIDL-2-MDP

I'm using this with an older Dell Lattitude D630 sitting in a port replicator. I have the DVI port hooked to this unit then hooked via the Mini DP cord to an Apple LED 24" screen that I typically use with my MacBook Pro. I didn't want to buy another monitor since this one already has better resolution than most. Hooked it up and selected the screen resolution on the laptop then hit the button on the front of the unit to select the matching resolution setting and that's it. The clarity is better than anything I would have ever expected out of this laptop. I just got a 27" Apple LED monitor and assume it will work the same way. I would definitely recommend this product! ;)

Works perfectly on my Dell Inspiron 3250 desktop (GeForce GT 705 card) to my Dell U2717D monitor, running 2,560*1,440 through the DVI output. Using mode 3: pass-through. Had to wait for a while initially, when I first use the converter. Almost thought the set-up could not work because of this. Now no issues at all, after 2 weeks.

Is very important to be sure about your configuration. This converter DOESN'T works with Thunderbolt display, it only works with cinema display.

This is an awesome converter for those who have older Macbook Pro models that use the DVI-I connector and would like to connect a MiniDisplay Port/Thunderbolt LED Display monitor.
