Great value, flexible control, good picture
I had two of these shipped, as they were consistently damaged by the shippers. They come in a BIG, delicate box. My second one had a little water damage on the screen, but some bleach bathroom cleaner fixed that ;)The mounting options are fairly limiting. Mine is installed on a horizontal joist that runs parallel with the screen. The screw holes on the mounting brackets are slightly wider than the width of the joist, so I bought two heavy-duty lag bolts, and used those to mount it (one on each end), and hope that one bolt each end will suffice.Unlike competing screens this comes out-of-the-box with Infra-red, Radio, and hard-wired remote options. It's easy to tie in with a home automation system using something like an Insteon IoLinc controller with the supplied wire, or a Universal remote with the IR controller. This larger version screen has a higher capacity (I believe faster) motor than smaller ones, but it's still lowered well before the projector finishes warming up.The picture is very sharp, and the screen unobtrusive with the screen rolled up.Absolutely worth the money - notably so given that many feature-comparable screens are more than twice the price.

Spontaneous motor starting
I bought one of these (VMAX2, 100-inch 16:9) used at a big discount, because no way was I going to pay full asking price for this screen when there are off-brand competitors are much lower prices. The motor is slow, but not obnoxiously noisy. This model has a number of control methods, including a plug-in corded remote, IR remote, RF remote, and more advanced methods that I did not try. One of the bragging rights of this VMAX2 is apparently it has embedded fiberglass to keep the screen flatter when extended. But I have to say, I cannot really tell the difference between this and my 15-year old very basic manual pulldown Elite Screen in the next room. It doesn't seem flatter or whiter or really better in any way to justify the much higher asking price. This screen's motor/controller does not appear to have any kind of memory or way to set the stop point, so it can be tricky stopping the screen at the right height to match the projected image. I was a bit disappointed by this, but I guess that is the norm with motorized projector screens.Unfortunately after about a week, I touched the corded remote and sent a significant static electric shock through it and through the control board it was connected to. I had to unplug and plug back in the entire screen to make it respond to inputs again. That night, the screen spontaneously began rolling up on its own. And again the next night. And again the next night. Not at perfectly regular interval either, so I don't know what causes it. Could be picking up interference, or maybe that static shock damaged the internals. Because of the hassle of replacing this when this was already mounted, I ended up working around the issue. I connected the power cord to a cheap remote controllable outlet and I fully shut off the power when the screen is in the position I want it in. Now to control the screen I must use two remotes, but that isn't a big problem.

Cool
Looks really nice in my home theater. It has a little dent, which is only ubiquitous right after you open the abused-by-shipping carton. Since this dent is on the upper side - The one that faces the ceiling - once installed you can't tell it is there. I have to say that something like this was expected since I bought it remanufactured. I will keep it though

Awesome screen, quite motor and works great. Thanks

Poor motor, wavy screen
Motor needs help (lift up bottom of screen) in order for it to retract. Screen is wavy and can be annoying. Should have paid more and got a better one.

Easily worth every penny! :-)
Very nice looking screen . works perfectly. When the screen is rolling up and down it is very noisy upstairs but not a problem it just vibrates right through the floor but not worth taking a star off

Elite Screens
Have had this screen for 3 years. Before that was showing projected movies on our wall but the screen makes a big difference - really gives you a movie theater feel. Very nice quality. We love it.
