At that time I didn't appreciate the stories as much as I liked the special effects and monsters. Now that I have grown (slightly) wiser, I find that these DVDs have shown me a great deal more. The relationships between the characters and how they interact with the unknown. There is a depth to this series that I don't think I noticed before, and this set of excellent DVDs has shown me what I missed before. As far as the purchase goes, I have no complaints. All the DVDs played with out any problems. If you get a set of these in the U.S., you will need a DVD player that can handle other regions. Loved this show as a young teenager. BB is my favorite! The special effects for the time (1974) are fantastic on a big screen tv. Had to buy an All Region DVD player but worth it.
