Deserving of all the hype
Excellent quality, super sturdy, and simple design that's easy to assemble and keep clean. I love that it has a foot platform! I also love that it does it doesn't look like a highchair. I see why it's *the* highchair. :) The only negative is that the straps really are a pain to adjust. They are very different to maneuver. But other than that (which isn't that big of a deal), it's great.

The best investment.
We just absolutely love it. It goes perfect with our house aesthetic, and we love the fact that it will grow with our little one. Feels safe and durable. Def they have top quality materials. Our baby is thin and tall and we have no problems putting her in or getting her out of it. Can’t recommend it enough.

Great chair - my guess is that it's better for bigger kids
I really like our chair. It's cute, fits well with the dining table, doesn't take too much room, our 2 yo can get in it by himself. Great. And I love the fact that he will be able to use it for years to come. But, it is not easy to change the step when the kid grows, it is not the easiest to clean, and the most annoying is that the straps to tie the kid are a nightmare to change (from bigger to smaller) or even to put on because it always gets stuck behind the kids' back.

Helped our 3 year old stay at the table for meals
This is an amazing high chair/seat for young kids and toddlers. Our 3-year-old didn’t fit into his old “high chair” but our regular dining chairs were too big and he wouldn’t want to sit still for meals. We learned that the dangling feet/legs can be uncomfortable for little kids, so the foot support shelf is game-changing. He still gets distracted and wants to leave the table sometimes (I mean he’s 3, can’t expect too much!), but it has drastically improved his attention span and comfort at the table. We love it! Super well made, easy to wipe clean, and we love the aesthetic as well.

Cool chair for a little baby - well built and great concept!
I now understand why this chair is loved by so many people out there! First off the lil platform the baby puts her feet on makes it so that her legs are not dangling. She looks comfortable in the chair. She’s now 7 months old and having her pull up to the table is awesome because she has baby conversations with us while we eat. The seat and foot platforms is fairly easy to assemble and fastened tightly to my surprise. I thought this chair was gimmicky, but I’m wrong - It’s a cool chair. I’m sold - it was pricey but worth it since we’ll be using it for years and years. I love having her eat with us at the table but we bought the tray anyway to catch falling food. It’s coming in the next week so we’ll see how much it changes the feeding experience.

Pricey but Worth it!
I had this highchair in my cart for a while, just trying to get up the courage to spend that much on it. Let me say that it is totally worth it. We had the Munchkin 360 highchair before this one, and my daughter just didnt seem comfortable in that one. She would slide down, fall to the side, and her feet couldn't touch the foot bar. With the Stokke high chair, she is able to have the 90 degree angle at her knees and hips and have perfect back support! This is crucial with using the Baby Led Weaning method for solids. I also love the way it looks, and find that it is not so gaudy looking like many high chairs you see. It takes up minimal space and is even able to slide under our island to be out of the way when we are not using it. The only con I really have with it, is price, and all the add-ons (like the tray) are pricey as well.

Why is this so expensive?
It is the best chair out there. My grandson cannot fit into any other high seat. He is a big 30 lb one year old. Its is a great chair that moves as they grow, Easy to clean, Simple design. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. You would hope after paying $300+ for a high chair that it would at least come with a tray and straps. But no, everything is additional $$. It hurts me to spend $70 on a tray. I get that it's a great quality product but wow. and I'm just the grandma so I have it here for occasional uses only.

Very well made
For something you assemble yourself, the quality is excellent. Not an expert but it feels like solid wood instead of the pressed wood junk that's so common these days. Even the husband who was hesitant because of the price was impressed. It is very sturdy, I needed to reach something on the top shelf on day and used it because it was right there. I was worried but it held my weight just fine.
