Makemake Organics Organic Cotton Pillow Protector (Set of 2) GOTS Certified Organic Pillow Cases Zippered Breathable Barrier Fits Standard (20x26, Pearl White)

I ordered 4 brands of organic king pillow protectors (pillow cases numbered #1-4 in description below correspond LEFT to RIGHT in my photo). #1. Gotcha Covered was definitely heavy duty with inner waterproof liner similar to a thin vinyl table cloth (appears shinier than the outer fabric in photo). This brand probably overkill for my purposes of to prevent slow discoloration of the pillows). Smelly at first, but improved significantly after leaving opened but not completely gone after 3 days sitting out. Envelope enclosure appears to be deep enough to keep the pillow inside. 2/$53 #2. Allergy Store 2/$23 kings seemed good for an allergenic barrier. Tight woven, but a little noisy, rustling when handling the pillowcase, but not as bad on a pillow. Delicate looking zipper is on the end of a sleeping surface of the pillow instead of the end, but is tucked away under a fabric seam. Zipper but tight and would probably work well to prevent allergens. #3. MakeMake Organics 2/$42 is probably my favorite quality, smooth almost sateen-like fabric. Unfortunately, I accidentally ordered the black piping around the outside which i didn't want but it was pretty sharp looking. The fabric is quiet, the lengthwise zipper seems well built and nicely tucked into the seam so it shouldn't be a bother to sleep on. #4. Whisper Organics is a tie for first with MakeMake (#3 above). Also great quality smooth almost sateen-like fabric. It is an envelope enclosure which is not my favorite type, but the depth of the envelope fold is obviously well planned as seen with in the photo (a quarter placed on the seam for scale). I like that it's off-white so it will hide the slow staining of pillows over a longer period of time maybe? Price 2/$20.99 was better than the other 3 brands, more expensive than cheaper non-organics but worth it to have and support organic products. ~KATiE'D

I washed and dried immediately. They came out perfect from dryer. No wrinkles, and didn’t appear to shrink. Quality material & zipper. I Put them the queen size pillows, perfect fit. I had bough 2 down pillows at Costco. Even though I’m allergic to feathers, the packaging mentioned non-allergic. I slept with just a pillow cover for a couple of nights. Then a couple of feathers poked through. I knew I needed pillow protection, I just hadn’t done it yet. Anyway I bought these pillow protectors, fit perfect. Last night was a great sleep. I would definitely buy these again. One suggestion, don’t look for the zipper for 20 minutes like I did. They are well hidden on the long side of the cover. The pillows are also amazing. Sleep 😴 well

So I really debated reviewing this item because the people there at MMO are super nice and helpful and their products are top notch, but I'm rather thrifty and 30+ dollars for a pillow case just makes me cringe. Even now I cringe. I didn't even need 2 pillow cases, but that's how they come and I guess at some point I'll find a use for it. I'm not sure how others are using these, but I found the perfect make-a-pillow case. The first standard sized pillow cases I bought to give a Pine tales latex stix pillow a real pillow protector (instead of what comes with it) and then put a pillow case over that. The MMO pillow protector was the perfect size which I was concerned about before I got it since the pillow is a weird 21 x 26" instead of 20 x26". So I actually used the product the way it was designed to be used. But I'd be surprised if people weren't using these zippered pillow protectors to make their own pillows. I did just that with my MMO toddler pillow protector. Long story short I got the wrong sized silk pillowcase and had to make a pillow that would fit it. These cases make awesome pillows and they are sturdy enough fabric that I'm not concerned about it busting open. That's all I have to say .

EXACTLY what I was looking for! Organic pillows and cases need organic protectors! These are TOP QUALITY and BEAUTIFUL!! How often have you thought of a pillow protector as beautiful? This one is! 100% The stitching is perfect, the cording is an added beautiful design detail. Very well constructed and so soft and luxurious. I can’t believe I’m writing all of these things about a pillow cover, but it’s true. I was super impressed as soon as I opened the package! Having ordered TWO, I checked to see that both were same exact size. Then I washed and dried ONE according to instructions. I remeasured and both were still same size. They were even wrapped very nicely with a note! Above and beyond- these people really care! Lastly, I was so impressed with the ZIPPER!! At first I couldn’t even find it because it is so well crafted! Honestly, you could use these without a pillowcase over- they’re THAT pretty! I will ONLY order & use the protectors from now on! I can’t go back to the basic blah ones LOL

The fabric is silky smooth, with a nice weight, thickness. The piping around the edge is a luxe detail. Zipper works well. It takes a bit of scrunching to get a full pillow in, but once in it fits perfectly.

VERY HAPPY WITH THESE. THEY'RE VERY SOFT, WASH WELL, AND ARE GOOD QUALITY. AND I LIKE THE ZIPPER BEING ON THE SIDE.

I tried other youth pillow cases but this is the only one that I fell in love with! It's bright white. It's soft. It doesn't wrinkle up when washed. And the side zippered opening makes it so easy to slip the pillow into. The quality of the workmanship is excellant. A thought of thought and care must have gone into the making of this pillowcase. Thank you!

We have purchased 13 of these cases for 10 pillows which means we've had to replace a few. This is because the zipper seam becomes detached from the case itself. I appreciate the GOTS certification as there aren't many out there but wish their price could be lowered as a result of this reoccuring issue.

The zipper is on the long side, and it makes it much easier to put the pillow in. Thank you.

Amazing quality and feel

Don’t hesitate to buy these zippered pillow cases. They are beautifully made and the organic cotton is super soft.

I have other organic cotton body pillowcases I love but the zippers were starting to go, so I gave this one a try as the shipping was faster. I will say that the zipper design of this case makes it FAR easier to put on the pillow, but it is scratchy and every single piece of lint and cat hair sticks to this and it looks gross.
