Philips 9005 X-tremeVision Upgrade Headlight Bulb (Pack of 2)

I was very unhappy the night I purchased my new Subaru WRX on my 2 hour drive home in a hard rain. Very unnerving being a brand new car and the road was all but invisible! I had to do something so after much research on the net I performed the H11 to H9 modification with great results for the low beam then on to these for the highs. I cannot believe how the road lights up now. I am very impressed with these quality made in Germany bulbs. My WRX also uses these high beams at lower power for the day time driving lights so I have no idea how long these will last but the change out is easy and I will keep some extras in the trunk just in case. For my eyes I prefer the slightly warmer color of these standard color halogen bulbs. I am not into the hype of the new blue tint bulbs on the market. The so called whiter bulbs (that use blue tint) simply are not as bright as these. Those blue tint bulbs may be a whiter light but is not as bright and the slightly warmer color of these works best in rain / fog / snow. So, these bulbs are perfect for me and I can simply see now! Comparing this build quality to some other brands on the market the Philips simply look like a superior made product upon close inspection. The packaging is quality as well. If I get a year out of these I will be more than happy. If I only get 6 months it will still be worth it as I prefer the road to not be invisible as it was with my stock lights. These bulbs I think K are much brighter than the oem ones but it's hard to tell without testing side by side. They're a yellow hew still so if you're looking for white, these aren't for you.

Simply the brightest and best bulbs available. I have tried many bulbs and these are simply the brightest and highest quality bulbs I have found. Side by side, brighter than Sylvania silver stars and similar bulbs. Regular color (no annoying blue tint which blinds others and truly does nothing for a driver to see better). Just very bright full spectrul light. Quality european manufacuring. I have purchased several sets for my vehicles and friends, and they are great!

Works fine but burned out in three months.

These bulbs were very nice. I do think the lit up the street's a little more for my mom. There is beter lighting going further out the sides that a regular bulb, which is also a great help. They are britghter than the ones we had in our truck. Yes, I would buy these. All the positive info on the package is right on.

after a bit of research i've found that these are the best bulbs available for my 2005 honda civic. for some reason not available in the UK on amazon.co.uk so had to order on amazon.com. they're very bright - and make my regular night driving much safer.

Lots of more knowledgeable people have tested and reviewed these. In my wife's Yukon Denali XL they don't seem noticeably brighter, but then again I don't drive her truck at night very often, and I also really need to order new lamp units because her reflectors are a little cloudy inside. I'm happy enough with them that I'll put a set into my Mustang (which has new aftermarket light units and the cheap Chinese bulbs that came with it). I have a better idea of how that looks right now, and will probably recognize any significant difference right away.

Very bright, best out there in terms of a halogen bulb. Don't fall for the Wagner false claims! They've shipped their production over sea's and quality has gone down SIGNIFICANTLY (as has the rest of Federal Mogul products).
