Eliminates brain fog & anxiety, increases focus, improves sleep, seems to help with allergies!
I had never heard of Lions Mane mushroom until several months ago. A friend had given me two doses, one of which I took the next day, just thinking it was some kind of nutritious mushroom (she's always giving me stuff to try!) About 15 minutes after I took it, brain fog, which I deal with frequently, suddenly cleared AND my gritty eyes cleared (also a frequent problem for me) (weird, I know.) I thought, well, that's interesting! Next day, I watched to notice a difference - same thing, I had gritty eyes/brain fog, took the second dose she had given me and 15-20 minutes later, my mind wasn't foggy and my eyes weren't gritty! I called her and said, okay, what did you give me?? Then I googled lions mane and read all the nootropic research and such (didn't find any info on gritty eyes, tho!) The brand my friend had given me was too expensive for me to justify, so I ordered Dr. Emil's lions mane, and here is what has happened for me since then (btw, I'm 53 yo and female): my mind is clearer, definitely! My anxiety is much better! I recently graduated with a degree in the health field and started a new job and felt like a complete noob, and my anxiety was through the roof! Lions Mane has helped my anxiety and mental clarity so much! The occasional times that I forget to take it, the next day, I am super anxious and have brain fog again! It also seems to help my allergies (could be coincidental?) And it definitely has helped my sleep!! I had been having sleep problems with waking about 4am and not being able to go back asleep or turn my mind off. Now I'm sleeping great! After about 3 months on Dr. Emil's lions mane, I decided to try another brand in hopes of saving a few dollars. I won't mention the name of the other brand, but it's a brand I've seen around for a while. Well, that other brand didn't give me any of the great results I got from Dr. Emil's. So I've been buying Dr. Emil's lions mane ever since. I don't like to miss my morning dose, because I can definitely tell the difference in my memory and mental clarity!

Lion's Mane is Great for Unexplained Fatigue!
I've only been taking it a week, but it definitely seems to be helping. I feel less fatigued & can focus better, even though I'm definitely NOT getting more sleep, as my 16 month old is teething. I launched my blog and got all this up and running while helping my 10 & 7 year old bonus boys do distance learning, chasing my 16 month old around the house and taking care of my 4 month old! Definitely feeling less mental fog, more focused & able to handle the challenges I'm facing. I am mentally and semi-physically energized, even without more sleep or altering my medications or delving deeper into my health issues and diagnosis. I have also noticed less pain from inflammation in my joints, which results in my having to take less Naproxen (Aleve) throughout the day to alleviate the pain. This is an amazing thing, and such a relief for someone who lives in near constant pain. I have not been taking it long enough to know if it will boost my immune system this flu/cold season, but I'm definitely paying attention! Dislikes: slightly off-putting smell. If you're not used to the fact that most supplements have a not so great smell to them, well, here's your warning. They do have a slight smell. They're as easy to swallow as any other capsule of the same type, which I struggle with in general, but if you don't, that won't be an issue. If you swallow them quickly, they don't leave a bad aftertaste, I take them with my morning protein shake and I'm good to go. I'll continue taking it for sure, the only downside is I'm not sure if this particular brand is worth the significant price increase over some of the other brands, which is why I'm only giving it four stars. Is it truly better? Do you get what you pay for, or are you "paying for the name"? They claim to have high quality ingredients, but I don't know enough about that to know the difference, nor have I tested other brands yet. I'll probably check out a few different brands and compare to see (purchased this one during a discount sale), then hopefully come back and update this review one way or the other.

Dr. Emil Organic Lion’s Mane (2100mg): Potent Nootropic for Focus, but Capsule Consistency Varies
Dr. Emil Nutrition Organic Lion’s Mane Supplement (2100mg, 90 Capsules): Potent, Effective, but Inconsistent Capsule Quality I recently started taking the Dr. Emil Nutrition Organic Lion’s Mane Supplement (2100mg, 90 Vegetarian Capsules) to boost mental clarity and focus during a demanding work period, and it’s been a largely positive experience despite some concerns about capsule consistency. This nootropic, formulated with organic Lion’s Mane and BioPerine, aims to enhance cognitive function and immunity, and it delivers noticeable benefits for the price, though it’s not flawless. Ease of Use: 4.5/5 The supplement is simple to incorporate into a daily routine. The recommended dose is three capsules daily with at least 8 oz of water, which I took in the morning with breakfast. The vegetarian capsules are standard-sized and easy to swallow, with no aftertaste, though they have a mild mushroomy smell, as noted by an iHerb reviewer. The 90-capsule bottle provides a 30-day supply, and the compact packaging is convenient for travel or storage. My only minor issue is the three-capsule dose—some users on Amazon found it cumbersome compared to single-pill supplements, but it didn’t bother me much. Effectiveness: 4.5/5 The 2100mg dose of organic Lion’s Mane extract, enhanced with BioPerine (black pepper extract) for better absorption, delivers impressive cognitive benefits. After about a week of consistent use, I noticed improved focus and reduced brain fog, especially during long work sessions. An Amazon reviewer with ADHD shared, “I have ADHD, usually getting distracted with a small breeze, but this has a calming effect and helps me read through a full page,” and I experienced similar clarity, staying on task without my usual mental wandering. Sleep quality also improved, aligning with reviews claiming better rest and energy. The immune-boosting claims are harder to verify, but I felt generally energized and didn’t catch a cold during a stressful month, which tracks with a nootropicsresources.com review where a user’s cold vanished within days. However, results vary, and some users report no noticeable effects, so individual responses may differ. Quality and Ingredients: 3.5/5 Dr. Emil’s Lion’s Mane is made from 100% pure, USA-grown organic mushrooms, extracted via a solvent-free fermentation process with at least 7% polysaccharides, ensuring high potency. The formula is vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, and free of fillers, which suits my preference for clean supplements. The addition of BioPerine is a smart touch, as it’s clinically shown to enhance absorption, per Vitacost and Dr. Emil’s site. However, a concerning Reddit post from 2020 warned that some capsules were dark brown and smelled like cocoa, unlike the expected cream-colored Lion’s Mane, raising doubts about consistency. I noticed some capsules in my bottle were slightly darker, but I experienced no adverse effects, and the smell was still mushroomy. This inconsistency, echoed by Amazon reviewers noting “varying capsule colors,” knocks off some points for quality control. Value for Money: 4/5 Priced around $20–$30 for a 30-day supply (based on Amazon and iHerb listings), this supplement is competitively priced compared to brands like Host Defense or Genius Mushrooms. With a 4.7-star average on Amazon, reviewers praise its value, with one saying, “It’s worth it for the mental clarity and energy.” The 100% money-back guarantee for 90 days adds confidence, and customer service is responsive, per reviews. However, the potential for inconsistent capsules and the three-pill dose may deter some, especially when cheaper alternatives exist. Still, the high 2100mg dose and BioPerine make it a strong contender for the cost. Packaging and Sustainability: 4/5 The bottle is sturdy, with a clear label detailing dosage and warnings (not for pregnant/nursing women, children under 18, or those with medical conditions). The vegetarian capsules and eco-conscious sourcing (USA-grown, solvent-free) align with sustainable practices, though the plastic bottle isn’t as green as recyclable glass packaging. Customers appreciate the 90-capsule count for a month’s supply, but some noted the bottle’s cap can be hard to open if overtightened. I had no issues, but I store it in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness. Final Verdict: Dr. Emil Nutrition Organic Lion’s Mane Supplement (2100mg) is a potent, affordable nootropic that delivers noticeable improvements in focus, clarity, and energy for most users, with the bonus of immune support. Its high dose, BioPerine enhancement, and clean ingredients make it a great choice for those seeking cognitive boosts or stress relief. However, inconsistent capsule color and occasional quality control concerns, as noted in reviews, are drawbacks to watch for. I recommend it for anyone looking to try Lion’s Mane on a budget, but inspect capsules for consistency and consult a doctor if you’re new to supplements. With careful use, it’s a valuable addition to a wellness routine.

Amazing product!
I’ve been taking this Lion's Mane for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly amazed at how much of a difference it’s made. I feel more focused during the day, less foggy, and my memory seems sharper! I’m recalling things quicker and more clearly. I didn’t expect to notice anything right away, but after about a week, I really started to feel it. It’s become a non-negotiable part of my morning routine now. If you're looking for something to help with mental clarity and productivity, I highly recommend trying this!

So far so good! Early review***UPDATED REVIEW 4 mths later***
I have had brain fog for about 3 years after finishing chemo and now in perimenopause- I’m 44 years old. Have considered lots of different medications and came across this by accident on Amazon when searching for supplements. Thought to take a chance. I’m only on day 2 but so far-but I feel more clear and almost as if my brain is working better? I’m not sold on this yet as it may be just my mind believing I should be better (placebo effects) - so I will update in 1-2 weeks but so far- no side effects and it seems pretty good! **** update Sept 2020: I took this for about a month and initially it was great, I felt like my mind was really working at its top level, memory, focus everything was better. But then I started to notice after about week four, I was getting headaches, and severe allergy issues and just a feeling of fuzziness and being unwell. I ended up stopping the supplement to see if that was the cause and it seems that it was. Because I had initially got such great benefits with energy levels and mindful Ness, I started it up again after a one week layoff. And again when I started the supplement I had the same bad issues again. I did this 2 or three times to be sure that it was the supplement because I really do like the benefits but it seems my body just started to reject it and immediately would go into the bad side effects and no good would come from the supplement anymore. I researched to see if this is a common thing and apparently it does happen to a very small amount of people. It’s very difficult to find any bad side effect reviews or studies online with the supplement, most people just rave about it. I did find some information to back up the reason I was feeling the way I feel. There’s a scientific reason behind it and it can cause a lot of issues if you already have allergies and other things. I guess I am that small percentage as most people it seems to work for including my mom. My mom started the supplement and really loves it, she is 72 and it has done wonders for her and has no side effects. So all in all, I would be taking this right now if I didn’t have the bad side effects, and it does seem to help a lot of people, I guess my body is just a little different!

This product WORKS!!
I was taking Alpha Brain for my brain fog because I have such a horrible memory and was for about about a year and they did absolutely nothing for me. Then I decided I wanted to try something else that is healthier for you. So I seen Lions Mane and thought, heck let me try it! And it’s been 2 years now that I’ve been taking them! Suggest 2 in the morning and 1 before bed. I will not go back to another brand! It boosts up my energy, the taste is not great, but I’ve gotten used to it after taking it for so long. Ofc, it won’t get rid of having a bad memory but it definitely does work and I have suggested to EVERYONE I know to try it! It also helps with my anxiety plus helps with my immune system! You will not regret buying Lions Mane!❤️ Definitely worth the price!

Surprised by clarity
It's difficult to make an objective analysis of something as subjective as your own mind. And with something of this nature, the placebo effect is a real risk. Maybe you just feel better because you took some tablets that are supposed to make you feel better, and so you do feel better. It can't be measured empirically by some instrument. But I can say that this product actually had a beneficial effect. I am a 35+ year career software developer, and now, at age 60, I definitely feel the effects of age. I can no longer keep as many distinct things in my mind as I could when I was in my 30s. And getting focused (and, more importantly, staying focused) has become more difficult. I am about two weeks in on this trial, and I can say that I've seen definite improvement. Increased clarity. Increased mental duration. And it even helps with the motivation to get into the code and start working on it. It also has some calming properties about it too. Reduced anxiety. I will certainly be buying this again.
