OK, In fairness, I know that responses to products like this are VERY subjective, and some people might love this 'wax'.But personally...1. The first surprise was on opening the jar and scooping a little bit out. The texture is different from every other beard wax I've used. Usually they have the texture/consistency of a soft beeswax, melt quickly in the hands, and don't leave any nasty residue on my hands. THIS has the texture/consistency of a gloopy engine grease, feels unpleasantly greasy as you rub it into the beard, and I REALLY need to wash my hands afterwards.2. The smell. OK - very heavy on the sandalwood, with the frankincense barely perceptible at all.3. Taste... Yeah, I know you're not supposed to eat it, but applying a beard wax in such close proximity to your mouth, you're apt to get an occasional taste. But you'll want to REALLY take care to avoid that with this, because even a tiny taste of it is unspeakably foul.4. Honestly, even if the product lived up to its claim of 'strong hold' I still wouldn't ever buy another jar of it. But it doesn't even do that. On the sides of my beard, in particular, it seems to do the reverse, causing it to frizz out and look worse than if I'd used no product at all.Basically, I hate everything about this, and will be going back to Captain Fawcett products until I find something better.

Really quite a strange consistency and unlike any other beard wax i've tried. I'd expect the consistency to be a cross between maybe beeswax and shoe polish. This wax is more the consistency of really heavy engine grease.The smell isn't at all unpleasant but was expecting a nice sandalwood aroma. This feels more generic.BFWood used to be my go-to sandalwood beard wax but they've recently changed ingredients so it smells more like talcum powder. I'd dearly love to find a good replacement. Sadly, this product isn't the one.

This is about as much a beard or mustache wax as pasta is a pizza.A balm? you'll find the oil removed from your cars engine will have a smoother texture than this rubbish. Apply it to your beard, watch it turn frizzy, then have to wash your hands and question what it is you were thinking when you made this purchase....if you dare to even purchase it.Binned it immediately.

Disappointing, not strong as promised on the description. Won't hold your handlebar, more like a slightly stronger balm rather than a strong wax. Smelled better after adding a couple of drops of frankincense and sandalwood oil. First and last time.

Better hold than the standard balm but not like some of the gels on offer at supermarkets. Quite like a jelly feel but overall a good product, could improve on the scent. Would buy again

This isn't a bad product, I have used worse, this beard balm isn't amazing still. It has this smell other than the fragrance advertised. It's like a parfin smell so I have stopped using it however it did what it was meant to do.

Not a wax, it's more of a liquid, spilled all over the place when I opened it.

Arrived quickly and my partner was really looking forward to trying it out... But the ingredients revealed beeswax, so not vegan as advertised. Hopefully the wording will be changed so noone else is fooled :(
