Heavy Duty excellent Quality and value
This thing was $15. This hitch is made in the USA, shipped in 2 days, weighs a ton, and has an excellent finish. I almost spent the $300 on the Gen-y until I stopped and re-evaluated my life plan. I have a small utility trailer and a small RV, and I needed 4 inches of drop for both with my current truck. I get the idea of wanting a solid adjustable hitch if you have multiple trailers and want the flexibility, but I just don’t need that right now. $15 for just the hitch and I had a 2” Reese ball I got for $8. I’m not worried about someone stealing this thing since it was cheap. Just used it for 4 hours pulling kids on the trailer with hay bales for the Halloween trick or treat hay ride and it was solid as a rock and the trailer level with a small load was correct. Everyone enjoyed the ride and I’m so happy I got this hitch. I went to the Uhaul store today and found zero 4” drops, only 3 1/2” and 5 3/4” hitches both for $30, made in China only 6000 lbs rating. This one is 7500 pounds and 750 tongue rating. 100% would recommend for someone with one rig and only a couple smaller trailers and a small RV. Love my purchase would do it again in a heartbeat!

Solid, well-built, and fits perfectly!
I’ve used a few different hitch mounts over the years, and this CURT one stands out for its quality. The welds are clean, the finish feels durable, and it fit my 2” receiver perfectly with no rattle. I’m using it to haul my trailer and it’s been rock solid — no flex, no movement, just solid towing confidence. Definitely worth it if you want something strong, simple, and reliable. Highly recommend!

Good Quality but poor labeling (erroneous) in Ad
Can't really criticize the construction. Its heavy duty, fits the 2 inch receiver on my F-350 well if not a tiny bit sloppy so it rattles whenever driving a bumpy road with no trailer attached. My complaint is about the Advertising Information for this hitch. It is listed and advertised as having a 4 INCH DROP. The item is actually a 3 1/2 INCH DROP. The label on the hitch also confirms this as a 3 1/2" Drop hitch. I really did need the 4 inch and that's why I ordered this from Amazon since local stores only had the 3 1/2" sizes. So my advice is if you can find a 3 1/2" Drop locally for a competitive price, you might as well get it. I don't think anyone is making a TRUE 4 INCH DROP as the 3 other brands I've found around town don't cover this exact size either. Not super critical but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. As far as the way Amazon shipped this, it came Priority Mail and had Free Shipping which you can't beat for the weight of these things. The bad thing was the recycled paper used in Amazon's shipping boxes is not nearly strong enough to hold up under the shipping ordeal with a nine pound chunk of iron. My box was way OVERSIZED and the hitch rattling around inside busted out the end flap on one end and punched holes in several locations on the box sides. The post office clerk was amazed the item had not gone missing enroute with no end on the box. Good product, good price, and if you get Free Shipping you almost can't find anything local to beat this unless on a super sale.

Use this mount if your hitch goes under the bumper
The regular hitch ball mount I had purchased previously lowers the ball height and created a serious hazard for towing trailers with my minivan as the trailer arms hit the pavement when going up inclines. I suspect it would do the same for any hitches that go under the bumper of a standard automobile (not raised or pickup). This mount solves that, but you have to use it upside down so it raises the ball mount height. I had to buy a hitch ball wrench from harbor freight to unscrew the ball mount from original mount. Tip: put the mount sideways and step on the wrench.

Product is solid and good finish. You just need a pin and you’re ready to go. Goes into 2” hitch.
