Timer review
I bought 1st a different timer and later 3 of these. The blue one is working fine a few weeks into service. I use this timer to drip irrigate from a tub onto an individual tree until it can get established. My mountain soil is so poor it passes water through fast and wont retain moisture. This timer doesn't require water pressure- it just opens and shuts. Adjustable down to once per hour and as little as one minute. I get three days of watering repeatedly through out the days. You do have to watch them and make adjustments. That 1st one, a green different brand, is giving me trouble. These blue ones, once dialed in, are working with out any issues. Uses two AAA batteries. There is no clock to set. Time starts upon setting- three blinks to say ok and occasional blinks regularly timed to indicate 'all's well'. Good price and quick shipping. I'm pleased with them. Look at my photo to see the setup. A tub with flat sides, a bulk head fitting or a drain fitting for a swamp cooler-same thing, sprinkler fittings and away you go. I have on the very end a round drip fitting with a 1/16" hole in it to slow watering down even more but you don't need that. Literally 1 minute once per 2 or 4 hours will suffice. Try it out for newly planted trees or shrubs. I had an orange tree and watered by hand every day but it just stayed alive and got smaller. With this setup I have, now it's put on new growth, looks like it will make it now.

Worked for a short period, then not
I bought and installed this last summer as I was going on an extended trip and needed my plants watered. It worked fine while I was away for two weeks - at least, the plants looked as if they'd been watered. I have no idea how many days it actually functioned, but whatever it had done was enough. When I returned from my trip I took it off the hose, took the batteries out, and packed it away in a temperature-controlled storage unit for the rest of the year. I have just taken it out of storage with plans to re-install it on my drip system only to find it no longer functions. I have used three different sets of batteries, but the unit simply does not power on. It appears that the wires are still connected to the battery posts (my first thought was that a wire had come loose). It's a shame, really, as I only was able to use it for two weeks. It definitely did what I needed for it to do for those two weeks. I would ask the vendor for a replacement, but doubt they'd provide one after this long of a time. EDIT: Excellent customer service. The vendor responded to my review and sent a replacement unit. It's been raining cats-and-dogs here since it arrived so I have not been able to see if this one is working, but will place it in the garden at my earliest convenience (and inside a plastic bag to hopefully help keep it dry). I will report how well it works sometime thereafter. But for now, this vendor provides excellent customer service - some of the best I've come across on Amazon.

UPDATED: Didn’t last 6 months
After posting the below review, the manufacturer reached out to me and offered a full refund. I asked if I could get a replacement instead, and they sent one out right away. Within two days I had a new timer and am once again really happy with how it’s working for me. 5+ stars for customer service, and the timer really is a nice one. I originally really loved this timer, it worked great and did exactly what I needed it to. However, after 5 months it stopped working. I was hoping it just needed new batteries, but it was completely dead. There is no warranty information anywhere on either amazons site or the manufacturers site. So it appears I’m stuck with trying to find a timer that will hopefully last at least long enough for the batteries to run down.

Great
These are wonderful and easy to set. The batteries have last over a month. To start it was running every 2 hours and now every 6.

Great for situations without water pressure
Most timers require water pressure on the inlet side to work properly. This timer works where there is no pressure available like from a rain barrel. I installed this to a rain barrel to water our small garden while off the grid. You can set the time water flows and also can set how many hours between waterings. It operates on a single AA battery and is easy to use. I highly recommend it. I have been using it for about 6 months and the battery is still good.

Works fine, but stuck open when batteries ran out.
It does a good job of turning water on and off. HOWEVER, when the batteries ran down after about 30 days, the valve stuck open, and flooded my plants, and the floor in my basement, where I had my winter greenhouse setup.

Saves lives in the chicken yard
I have been looking for something like this for years!!!! During HOT spells no matter how much shade I provide I inevitably lose a couple chickens to heat stress/stoke. This is perfect to keep them cool yet manage to not make the area a swamp or run up a crazy water bill. I attach the hose to a mister, aim it at their favorite bush under a tree and have it set to mist for 30 seconds every 3 minutes during the heat of midday. No other timer would let me mist for such short periods with such frequency. It’s very flexible in its scheduling. I hope it keeps working. It’s perfect!

They didn't last long for me in the Texas heat.
I planted one row of an orchard in the spring of this year in central Texas. I planted a row of 13 pecan and fruit trees each with its own rain barrel with a Yardeen irrigation timer and short hose on the spigot of each rain barrel leading to each tree. These irrigation timers all worked fine for a month or two. But by August after I put in my third round of (2) AAA batteries per timer, only 2 of them were still working. I don't know if they just can't take the Texas heat or what, but they were the weak link in my system. These irrigation timers crapped out on me after about 3-4 months. Maybe in a mild climate where it is like 55 to 75 degrees F year round they would last longer.

Works as advertized, i.e. especially no water pressure on the feeding line is required. And yes, after setting the opening time and repeat interval, the first opening will only occur after the first repeat interval has elapsed.

Je me demande si il y a un sens, pas pour la sorti d'eau mais plutôt pour l'installation

So far so good. I set it for 20 second spray every 2 minutes, refreshing on hot days. Installed on my 8 x 8 shade tent. We sit underneath and enjoy. We installed a shut off valve on 2foot hose extension so we don’t need to get up to turn off hose if needed. Just keep cap on to protect dial from water. We remove batteries when not in use.
